  1. cool thanks for the pointing that out that a thread already existed sorry about that maybe someone will delete this one
  2. How's this for a new ICE (Internal Combusion Engine) design. Will run Bio-Fuel as both the fuel, oil/lube and cooling (plus air cooling). a 14" by 14" motor is equilvalnt of a 850cu inch or 4xV8 engines and 2000HP. The plan is for an engine the size of a small paint tin will replace your engine and produce 250HP - what the? Check it out. Angel Labs - The MYTâ„¢ (Massive Yet Tiny) Engine
  3. For those State side the L20et uses the same dizzy as the L28et. George - if you follow the ms'n's or MS'n'Sextra guides etc that a lot of the L28et guys have done it should work for you in the same manner just a smaller engine/injectors etc.
  4. Yep for a 510 4 door (we only got the 4 door down here) he is/has made one for his 240z also (and I don't think it say NISMO but something else - he would not say) this was just pic to show what can be done with some time and effort
  5. How about this one It was made locally here in NZ, I am planning to do something sim. What he did was remove the Nissan OHC make up the new alloy letters and then bond on using that $$$ alloy bonding stuff that holds BMW etc together. So you can make whatever you want if you have the time and skills
  6. I am thinking of doing something sim but on my G-Nose
  7. I got the same set, purchased from the same ebayer a few months back now - same price, I am very happy with my purchased and he was/has been good to deal with
  8. Not sure if anyone here is going to too much help as the L20et are very rare animal state side, or anywhere outside of Japan, we are lucky in NZ as we do get a lot of JDM cars imported however knowledge of these is low. Is't your car a R30 Skyline special of somekind? ie a very rare beast indeed, so this cam you have might be related to that special part of your R30. How did you make out with the head gasket issues?
  9. So are you I have been he a lot longer than on Datsun.co.nz 8) anyway I never did get back to get the photo but you have saved me the trouble - thanks again. So which one had the larger TB? The P65 or the other one?
  10. Sorry for slight movement off topic but.... One of the local forums I visit here in NZ had these pics - so I thought I would share. There are/were only 2 of the new Ford GT's in NZ. Hope the pics work Edit changed images copies uploaded to album on this site
  11. Having seen a few DR30 with FJ20 here in NZ, I can confirm that these are a clutch type (but you know that already from above answers), and again you now know the input shafts are the CV type, I can confirm 100% that they are the tri pod type like the 280zxt setup. There are also the same in the Nissan Laurels C31 which uses the same suspension setup/running gear (however no Laurel was fitted with a FJ20) as the R30 range of the same era. ie the L20 power Skyline is the same floor plan/suspension as the L20 powered laurel, like wise the L20et power cars etc. However I think the CLSD were only fitted to the DR30 standard so when looking for a CLSD long nose in the junk yards locally you have to look at a few to find the CLSD
  12. ok what is a M30? I assume this is a Nissan so what model a Maxima? Got a pic?
  13. Well downunder it is the other way round - I can get dish stuff but can't get flat-tops easily locally in NZ.
  14. I think I read somewhere that the 6 counter weight cranks were up to L24-003606 after that Nissan changed to the 8 counter weight cranks.
  15. The Laurel and R30 Skyline I got mine from were both 83-84 models, one (R30) was the optical unit like the 82 280zxt dissy (same part number infact) the other one from the laurel is still a CAS but not optical like the crank angle module I have on the L28e I purchased, it is mounted down next to the crank pully which has a toothed wheel attached. Both the pully and the Laurel dissy produce the same single (have the same plug connection, so does the R30 optical dissy, same plug that is) I have not tested the optical dissy to see if the signal is the same but from the reading I have done - I beleive it will be. see this thread for pics of the difference between the two dissys (optical and non optical)http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=104767
  16. I know this is not quite the same but I have picked up a few here in NZ from Nissan Laurel and R30 Skylines that were imported from Japan - they were the L20ET models so might pay to have a look at the local Nissan wrecking yard you never know.
  17. Yea TT L6 manifold - however I believe it does not work on the LHD cars - talk to 240ztt on this site he had one of these manifolds at one point but as it did not work on the LHD re was selling it (I think he sold it on ebay)
  18. Okay guys - for those interested in a Twin Turbo setup on a L6 in a S30 - looks like TRUST/GREDDY still have a listing for a SUS = Stainless Steel, twin turbo setup see the following link - then check the second listing states S30 twin turbo setup for L20~L28 has a partnumber also. And for those who want a N/A see the second link below Twin Turbo N/A Trust Header
  19. Not related but found this also - a 3.1 L28 twin turbo? did a 10.1 in 2002 (well that is what is states on the webpage) http://home9.highway.ne.jp/hide463/s30z.htm
  20. Guys - I am not sure but I think this is the car they might have used in the movie for some of the shots - it is not the twin turbo but has the same look ie colour/wheels etc. See the link http://www.joy.hi-ho.ne.jp/kazuhiro/photo/s30%20movie.htm If not cool looking car non the less.
