I have a chance to get a R200 posi rearend (3.90). It is said to have 60,000lbs test welding done to the spider gears, new bearings and seals. He is asking $200.00. This is not an LSD so I'm aware that there will be some hopping/chatter on a tight turn (but I would love it for the strip). The car is not going to be a daily driver, but I will keep my stock R200 for trips. Do you think this is worth it? Push me one way or the other please.

Titanium, you will have to email me so I can email the images to you.

if you measure from the front point of the hood back 21", that is where the hood starts to rise and it should give you about 1 1/4" more room. Don't know if that's enough for you but it was plenty enough to clear my air cleaner. I will atke a picture and email it to you directly.

I just bought a hood from reaction research. Very nice work. You must order it about a week or two in advance of when you want it (not sure about shipping costs, I went and picked it up personally). I ordered the hand laid version. Nice fit, comes with mounting hardware. He usually has some made a little over sized but did mine to the exact size and it was fine. It is easy to install and the only extra work you need to do is to drill two holes for the hood latch to bolt too. The cowl is not over done (too large) and is fuctional. I'm also in the process of moulding his fiberglass hood vents into the cowl hood. They are a bolt on as well, but I want the hood to look like a one piece and his vents compliment the cowl very nicely. I'm actually doing a small write up (John will write it, we will edit) in the next issue of SZM on them.

My theme is always changing. Right now the theme is Crayola Crayons. It has so many different colored panels that all I need to do is put it in a box. Lucky for me the the main color that is missing is the Rust color. I'm thinking of adding Green and orange and changing the theme to a Color Wheel.

I can understand that, but some of the stations I'm talking about are the same company, P-66 to be exact and the prices were off from any where from .05 to .12 cents. This makes me believe that it depends on the area and how much a station thinks it can get. There are three sections of the car industry that I can't figure out. Gas pricing, salvage yard pricing and windsheild replacement. All are scams one way or another.
-
My point is that when the price for a barrel of oil comes down some stations are quicker to respond. I think it depends on the individual owner. Places like Sam's Club don't change there prices for a week or two after all the other gas stations raised there prices. And they are also pretty quick to come down as well. I won't chase gas for .02 or .03 cents, but I will for .12 to .18 cents.
-
I think you should blame the individual gas station owners. Gas in my area ranges from $1.73 to $1.95 per gallon. These stations aren't far from each other and I still see people filling up at the higher price stations. Any body who isn't willing to take the extra couple of minutes to go to the station with the better price deserves to get screwed. I know of two stations across from each other and there prices differ by about .05 to .08 cents and people are still filling up at the higher price. This shows that individual owners can set any price they want as long as people are willing to pay for it.

You will have no problem moving it. I moved mine to the drivers side top corner of the firewall where it can be accessed under the inspection lid but not seen when it is closed. But that also meant that I re-routed my rear brake lines so that they came down the drivers side framerail. My intention was to have almost no brake lines running through the engine compartment. The only ones you see are the ones coming from the MC. The only hassle is bending all the tubing to fit (lots of tight turns). If you want to se a picture, email me and I will send it to you.

There is also a very detailed how-to in the Fall 2001 issue of Sport Z Magazine that explains it from start to finish with pictures. I know this is a shameless plug, but what the hell.

They actually did post on some Z sites asking for suggestions. Most of the responses they got were of no help, just the usual, "we need more details", or the slight razzing. I sent the person in charge a detailed email with my pros and cons of three different ways I would have gone about it and at the same time suggested to him that if he was going to post on Z specific sites he better have more detailed questions or he would be flamed to no end. The later ensued to a degree. It seems they spent more time on the history (a good thing) than the 2 Z's themselves. I also believe that they went with the 4-barrel carb, cam and MSD setup to keep the muscle car/hot rod guys interested. I don't think that the producers of the show cared what a few Z nuts were going to think as long as it appealed to the masses. I thought the most exiciting part of the show was when the one guy needed a 10mm socket and I was hoping a fight would break out. I guess the other sad part is I saw more posts alerting me that Ron's car was going to be on the show then it was actully in the show. I'm still going to buy the tape and ad it to my collection of Z things to keep in a box to look back on when I'm 90.

One more thing V8Datsun. I have talked to quite a few friends who were complaining about Bush being elected. I asked them if they voted, surprise, they didn't. You should rethink who is really dimwitted.
-
Why the name calling? Is that all you have left to contribute? That in itself is sad.
-
Hey Pop N Wood. I posted this on another site, you should send it to your friend and see if he takes the offer. I hear Sean Hannity has a deal for anyone that isn't happy with the results of the election. He will start a fund to pay the expenses for anyone that wants to move out of the country. All you have to do is pick a country you think is better and sign an agreement that you will never return and all your moving costs are free. Who knows you might end up living next door to a ex-hollywood movie star. If I wanted to leave I would pick Aruba.

Kerry never answered a single question. It was always: Nice question, but let me tell you how bad Bush has been. And "I have a plan" was said so many times by Kerry without ever telling us what it was. The best example of a question not being answered was the first one to Kerry. But did you expect anything else. I stopped watching half way through.
-
Both did exactly what I expected. But no one has mentioned the biggest blunders from either one. Kerry: Anything that the US would do in the future that impacts the world but is for our own security would have to pass a global test. Do you guys really beleive thats the right thing to do. Hell no. Did you notice how Kerry started to stumble when he realized what he was saying and couldn't back out of it. Bush: After Kerry said that his number one issue if he was in the white house would be nuclear proliferation. Wrong answer. And Bush turns around and says the same thing except adds terrorist to the end of it. Wrong answer as well and looked like a goof saying it. The only thing more ennoying than the debate itself was watching some of the spin afterwards.

For everyone that thinks the tax cuts are a bad thing, you can get a form from the IRS that will allow you to give all of the tax break back to the government. Fill it out and attach it to your return. I've noticed some of the big shots in Hollywood talking about the tax cuts being bad, but when told they can give their cut back they change the subject. The tac cuts have worked for me. The past couple of years I've actually gotten a refund and guess what, I put it right back in the economy buying stuff for my car and kid.

Take away the ammo and what would they have fought with, bic lighters. Our tanks, our planes, etc.

Stay the hell away from, we've been there since the beginning. We are Isreal. Without the US backing, that country is history. That is the main reason we are not liked in the Middle East and never will be. Jeez, what rock did some of you come out from under You really believe that Isreal is a stand alone country?
-
Again, direct questions being asked and all I see is rambling about mistakes. He's really starting to scare me. Kerry is in a great position, If he becomes president and he makes Iraq a better place with his 7 points to a better world (welcome back France, Germany and Russia-all is forgiven) he will be looked at as a great leader. If he fails in his 7 points he will blame it on the old administration and say that he never had a chance because of how deep a hole Bush had dug for him.

From what I could get from it, maybe they plan on exchanging an engine with a motor. Briggs & Stratton comes to mind.
-
How about the news now that the guy they interviewd (Lt. Gov of Texas) said he got Bush in when he was Lt. Gov. The only problem is he wasn't the Lt. Gov until a year later. I'll be interested to see what happens with this.

Arizona Z car sells a one piece cowl hood. Does anyone know how good they are?

Keep in mind that Times Roman type has been around for a long time. They are not saying that the typeface didn't exist at that time, but that it was vary rare and probably not available to manual typewriters of that era. Superscripts were also around but that would have only been available in high end typwriters. I doubt that the air guard would have had those kind of typewriters. Keep in mind that it's also about the subject matter in the letters that don't add up as well. I find it hard to believe that the republican campaign would go as far as to plant the documents so that it would look like the Kerry camp did it. Man, that's really going out on a limb. Can you smell that? Smells like desperation in the air.
