I picked these wheel up today off a early model 300ZX. Any body know what they are besides cool looking?

Just a little update. Today I finally got off my lazy butt and tore the passenger front suspension out (no pics since it is the same as driver side). I will start the process of removing the undercoating this week. It turns out I am one of the lucky tokico spring owners with a binding problem So I plan to use my tokico springs from my old 280z on all 4 corners since they are the same spring rate as the ArizonaZcar set. I just haven't decided if I am going to cut a coil off them to lower the car or not. Any thoughts?

Nice find! I have the original window stick for my 73, something crazy like $2400 brand new. You have some valuable stuff there judging from the pictures (hub caps, crack free center console, obviously the webers, and looks like a crack free dash!). What are your plans?

Looks good man! Just stay motivated...... there are too many z projects that get through the tearing down part and then abandoned. Those brake line fittings suck. I soak them in PB blaster, us vice grips on he soft metal side and a wrench on the other side.

Actually I read through the thread on the springs again and it is normal for progressive rate springs to look like this. http://forums.hybridz.org/index.php/topic/55577-tokico-suspension-problem-suspension-techniques-warning-to-buyers/ The needle gun and impact are picture in an earlier post. Besides that I just used common wire wheel, wrenches, and ratchets/sockets. Ya. I had nothing but a big grin on my face when the turbo kicked in.

We finally had a cooler day, only 100 degrees!...... So I installed the drivers front suspension. Tokico illuminas, Tokico lowering springs, polyurethane bushings, new ball joint, and new tie rod end. I do have some bunching in the upper part of the spring but I can't remember if that sticky thread in the suspension section said that was normal or not.....I'll have to re-read it when I have time. Now to tear apart the passenger side. Honestly I can't wait till I'm done stripping old undercoating......it's not all too hard but damn that crap gets everywhere when using the needle gun.

Your car does have a nice stance. According to an article in SportZ magazine the square headlights were part of the Jim Cook Racing "California Z" conversion. The rest of the body modifications were wide fender flares and a whale tail.

Nice work. It's crazy how new the pieces look after they have been sand blasted.

Repainted, put a new ball joint on, new spring, new strut, and repacked the wheel bearing for the front drivers suspension. I needed a break from all the wire wheeling of the front driver chassis. She stopped by to lend a hand

I rode in a local 260 with an L28T in it and I'm going turbo for sure now. You can get a needle gun at Harbor Freight Tools for like $30. You do need a compressor though. From what I've read it is the easiest way, but I've also read dry ice and a hammer works well.

I've been stripping the front drivers side down over the last few weeks. I'm less motivated since the hotter weather started moving in.

Get a needle gun as they work great. Ok polyurehtane bushing on and rear suspension installed! Time to start the front.

I'm amazed at how excessive people are with bondo sometimes........ like they have stock in the company or something

Do I need the rear cover gasket for an R200 or can I just use RVT gasket maker? Was on the phone with the parts guy for about 30 min trying to find a valid part number for the R200 gasket out of an 81 280zx with no success. He says they don't make them anymore.
