  1. About 270 duration at .050 and above and lifts above .650. You can get a street roller grind that's about .600 lift and about 250, they call that "pro-street". The roller in my TT is 240/250 .615/.631 with a 114LSA. Sounds like Hickl's new motor.
  2. Yeah, it's like 250/260 duration at .050 and only .600 lift, so just over a street roller grind, but not by much. Considering LS1's and LS2's on this forum are running .570 lift or so, it's pretty mild IMO.
  3. Well in HS while working in an automotive machine shop I got the nickname Doctor cause I was always so clean and layed out all my parts when assembling engines. Later, when I was going to college taking a few classes while working at the same machine shop, so they called me Dr D. All of my work uniforms, even with schlumberger say Dr. D on them. Since I like to hunt and guide hunters, some of my repeat clients started calling me the Hunt Dr. or Doc Hunt cause we were always pretty successfull. Kind of a blend of both worlds
  4. I think everyone realizes that he has particular talent. I think what the issue is that all the commercials exploit those great numbers and it gets old looking at them all the time. Fact is the ad agencies are pushing these big noticeable figures and they are making big $$$ for the ads too. I can't blame them for that, but I'm pretty sick of donovan McNabb and Manning commercials my self. Something different would be nice for a change. I think the commercials tend to make their personna larger than life, which it is not. Kind of makes the stomach turn, if you know what I mean. That all said, I'm a fan of football, no team in particular, just like a good game and the colts patriots game was one hell of a good game. Hats off to both teams!
  5. How about a puny 357 inch sbc, afr 220 heads, dart block, carillo rods, eagle 4340 crank, JE domed pistons, mild .600 lift roller cam, yada, yada for $5300 ready to run?
  6. Is that why nobody shows up?
  7. We have the Non-Tech forum, close enough.
  8. I suggest you read the rules, if you haven't already, your getting alittle too hot under the bonnet, so to speak. In particular read Rule #11. If that bothers you then read #12.
  9. Since your selling it, shouldn't this thread move to vendors forum?
  10. Good thing I found out, I'll let the strippers know there was a change of address!
  11. Tools, damned expensive, I hate to think of what I have in my shop, but probably around $50K in tools all together. There's nothing wrong with Craftsman, don't by into the Matco, Snap-on, Mac hype. Also look closely at S-K tools!!! IMO the real money is in RV's and Diesels and the combination of both. First off your dealing with customers that have money. Second the jobs take alot of time. Troubleshooting electrical, lights, A/C, plumbing, water tanks, grey water, black water, axles, bearings, etc. etc. Not to mention the new diesel pushers and the service that goes with those and the diesel gensets. If you want to make some $$$ look for a small shop with an owner you like that does towing and repair or do your own down the road, places like small RV parks. People (RV'ers) are more likely to have you fix it than tow it or drive it many miles to a dealership. And they pay in cash or travelers checks. Work as a 50%'er, I was able to pull down over 1K per week at the place I worked at driving semi-tow trucks and fixing RV's. One time I towed in a new RV that the DOT stopped for leaking water on the road. It was a leak under the sink area that was running down through a hole in the floor onto the highway. $400 tow bill and $50 repair where the factory had forgotton to hook up a drain pipe to the tank!!! The owner was PO'd, but I got a $200 tip, just for being nice and fixing it right away so he didn't have to get towed another 150 miles to an authorized repair facility! In the end I worked at an RV place, building engines, trannies and rears full time for a race team that had IMCA modifieds, Late Models and Sprint cars. All for Free! That's right, worked there for 2 years for nothing, but since I had other income, it wasn't a big deal. But I could have worked during the day at the RV place and I did help the mechanics all the time when they needed and extra pair of hands. I learned alot about RV's and that there is no flat rate for A/C electrical and troubleshooting!!!!!
  12. Actually, I was just ribbing Cozy Z Cole, being he's a Bears Fan. Funny how the QB becomes the team or some other standout player like Urlacher who happens to hail from New Mexico. He's a fine example of a quality player both on and off of the field. I think Manning's TV personality is due in part to his father, but he is also a very good QB. The second game was much more of a contest than the first game. I like the bears, but the fact is they absolutely dominated the saints in that game. Should be a great superbowl, we'll see how Urlacher and the bears match up against Manning and the colts. (Pun intended) :lmao: Don't take offense, just ribbing you.
  13. Your overpowering the tire, common place with V8 powered z's, even some turbo L6's. It's commonly referred to "blowing the tires off". Often mistaken for ex-gf activities, but your going to have to lighten up on your lead foot!!!
  14. I was told by our commander in chief, that on3go was probably trying to see if his ban had been lifted. Problem is that he's still in the wrong lifetime. He'll have to wait until the afterlife.
  15. Just in case you didn't watch the game.
  16. We have a general rule. If your car runs faster than 11.99 then you have to post a time slip in order to substantiate it, otherwise you can't post that info. Me, I have video on here somewhere from a SEZ event, others have vids and pic's of timeslips. Mmmm, orville redenbachers is good
  17. Damn, a 6 pack too.... Now your cutting into my stash Serious gear heads sleep with the goodies under the bed BTW! It's a really nice header also, someone probably could use it.
  18. Well, 10's in the 1/4 might not be that impressive to you, but your going to get called out on that with the engine combo you listed and the car that it resides in. Sounds alittle fishy to me. Get rid of the stock exhaust and you'll be in the 9's for sure.
  19. So, what are you calling Low? Sounds like your using "used" oil pumps when you say a new one will cure the problem. Is that true?
  20. Wow, 6.90's, got any pic's of your timeslips?
