  1. I plan to do exactly what you said over the winter, I will run it for the next few months and see how it looks...... This is why I got this in that color scheme
  2. Yeah I plan to buy them, I have to put them on the Nissan to buy list. I know I will be sending you some pms in the next week or so.....waiting for my CF parts.
  3. Well they are not "new", these came blank from CCW and I had a friend Jimmy Z from Rochester, NY work his magic on them. He is the machinist behind the great parts 1 tuff z sells and they are top notch. Pic of the Z now: New Center Caps: Exact logo used on my shift knob which was made by the same person...what do you guyz think?
  4. Looks great like I said before now get your butt over here in it! Can't wait to see it this weekend.
  5. The intake & TB is off!!!!!!!!! That is because on a "test drive" in Joe's garage today, the adapter I had coming from the back of the motor that held the oil pressure sending unit broke. So of course about 2 quarts of oil spilled all over the place. So after finally listening to Joe and my short cut didn't work...I pulled the intake and such off. That takes about 8 mins and I had a spare fitting for the oil PS unit Have to do some cleaning and getting the right button head bolts to replace the ones there so I can put the fast intake on. Intake off: Before that lil screw up, I finished wiring up the euro tail lights and happy to say I have proper brake lights! Also need to do some trimming of the front air dam...not very happy with the fitment at all and MSA will hear about it tomorrow. Here is a shot of the car as she sits today..... Front shot: Euro Tails:
  6. Looks sweet! Nice work done! Probably answered this somewhere else before but is that a euro rear bumper or did you have one welded up?
  7. Congrats!!!!!!!!! Nice new times....VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =) Must be nice to run those times and drive home no problem!
  8. Yeah yeah Raceonusa for the hood and hatch.....msa for the bumpers.
  9. Well they sent me two of the same side seat brackets, so they do fit without modding the stock mounts. I plan to change the stock setup this winter or spring by welding a bolt in the stock hole so all you need to do is remove a nut rather than trying to stuff your hand under the seat to get the seats out. So by end of today both seats are in! As far as some other parts.....CF hood/hatch/bumpers in the mail and FG air dam..not sure if I am going to like it but wanted to try something diffrent. Still have to get power to the dash.....wait on the CM in the mail and pray throw out bearing is not stuck =(
  10. WOW I saw that one coming!
  11. Yeah I think it can be saved with some cutting and welding, lol. I ordered another one just in case I screwed it up by having the piston come that far out in the cylinder. As far as the seat brackets, I looked at yours I believe the are exactly the same. Not sure if my floor is not flat or because the brackets say 72 and on 240z if that makes a difference.
  12. Sorry Adam no bumpers for sale, gone long ago to BUZZ. I know of a NOS euro front bumper So I have to order a new MC The threads on this one is GONE and the end of the rod is mushroomed. To add to getting nothing done today, the Corbaeu seat rails don't fit worth sh*t. I then came here and searched and saw plenty of people has had the same problem. That will be fixed over then next couple of days. I have lots of little things to do so I guess I can move on to those for now...no driving it for another week!
  13. Hard to tell in pics but I have some room to lower the car. The flares hang over the wheels and I tried to give the forward position of the flares more room for clearance when I lower it. If I have to, I will move the flares up. I need the ride height to be right. Also because of you, I ordered the CF hood, hatch and bumpers....thanks
  14. Be sure no one is under the car and be ready to shut the key off! To do it right, use jack stands. This is my safety tip for the day, it isn't like I didn't lay under someone's car here to listen to the trans make noise.....I think the wheels were spinning a million miles an hour...Joe.
  15. Air me out Mr. Bossman....I I I already kno wha you gone say! Either bleeding brakes or tracking your car.....
  16. Jeff I would ask 1 tuff z, I know he has shipped a few.
  17. Thanks Mike, your car along with a few others MADE me paint my car and do it over. I love your car! I am thankful for Joe taking in my car and letting me work there. Also giving a hand when needed and Dave coming down when free. They both know they get to drive the new evil z.....well hmmm....maybe not Joe.....I know he wants to beat the crap out of it.....why Joe why? =P Serious note, spent hours yesterday making sure the fuel and brake lines are clearing the drive shaft. Also spent about 2 hours bleeding the clutch which was quick but then realizing the firewall was moving!! After a check of the clutch pedal, I notice something was wrong. Joe explained that the metal around where the pin goes through the pedal was worn. So I pulled it and to have a good laugh Joe made me attempt to weld the hole up and redrill. I can't weld (for now) and to make a long story short Joe had to do it. To add to the smile on his face, he didn't tell me the mask had an auto dim lense so I was trying to weld looking through this darker than ususal lense...nice Joe! =) Ok, so pedal goes back in and same problem......feels like the throw out bearing is stuck =( I was not going to pull the trans! So a can of WD-40 was called on.....I sprayed the inside of the tranny, away from the clutch area. Now it feels like the bearing is moving....we shall see today when I go to move the car. Noob note: To check if the clutch will disengage, jack the back of the car up....start the car in gear with the clutch "pressing down" in car....if your wheels start to move....you have an issue =)
  18. Diff Eq, fun. I miss the days of long hw, hours of reading, 4 hour test and 18 credits...... good luck everyone
  19. Thanks Paul and Joe!!! Joe, I plan on hitting the inside of the wheel wells with undercoating and flat black'n under the flares on the body itself. As you can see the ride height will need to come down some and it should be all good. I will be honest at first I didn't like the look of the flares but after a day.....I am in love! =)
  20. Not mine: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1972-1973-240z-Right-Quarter-panel-NOS-New_W0QQitemZ400070135582QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item5d2609cf1e&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245 Can be used if someone has some rust to fix and a steal if the price stays low no reserve.
  21. Thanks, I will be ordering a CF hood and hatch next week for the Z! Your car looks great.
  22. Dinner first......Dave, Joe and myself headed out to the bar for food and drinks. We were able to get the rear brake line done with the prop valve in the car. We will see when I bleed the system how my "flaring" of the lines turns out but I believe they shall hold. Also got one side of the car done with the ZG flares....finally I know! Lil more work has to be done but overall I like em. The ride height has to be lowered! Found an oil leak today.....the oil pressure sending unit hit the firewall when I was pulling the motor the first time and I must have cracked the fitting....easy fix. Now for some pics: Dave sitting like he said The flare Rear done Nice shot of the project! Front and Rear view Workspace:
  23. Nice numbers, I can't wait til next year to try 1/4 racing out. Please get us some vids of you running 11's!
  24. Ross didn't get back to you???? ...noway! =)
