  1. Exactly! These items are new and I think if people can afford them and want them...buy em. We here on HBZ would spend $1000 on a nice turbo Some would like their car to look as good as it goes.
  2. EvilC

    S30 Shell

Shipping shouldn't be more than 500-700, open trailer. Look into it if it is rust free.
  3. Finally it is off to paint jail! Can't wait til the kids get it back and start the process of putting her back together. Be sure to update us when it is as the body shop with pictures.
  4. Glad to hear you will be back on the road, right in time for Summer! It is like a Happy Fathers Day gift to yourself!!! Here is my present to you: For others reading, this 260z is very very very clean. CAN'T WAIT to see Tom cruiZing down the road in it. 29 years is a long time to wait to drive another Z.....please post this on NYZCC too. Zya soon!!!
  5. They are JDM which I believe are correct for the early 260s. I believe the AUS 260 have the split lense clears also. I believe to be round connectors too BUT that 240z cartoon.....the 240z there has this turn signal assembly on it...go figure!
  6. I am sure they will sell at the currrent asking price. That is the going rate for NOS euro tail lights. If you guys think that is high.....look at these! http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370214488443&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT NLA items bring high dollars if it is rare and there is a market for them.
  7. I posted this in the paint section but thought it should be here also in this thread. The plan is....well.....put her back together!! Glad I got the motor back in first before I painted it. I have to pull the LS6 intake and TB off for Paul (Braap) and I need to swap pulleys. After that, let the wiring begin! Yay! Man does it look better than I thought it would. One slight oops taking the car off the trailer, front wheels rub the corner of the fender...made a slight bend in the pasn side fender...easy fix. The fender needs to be trimmed some more. That will take place once I get the front air dam on and more test fitting. Bad dog frame rails were welded on and lots of welding of new sheet metal. So "new" rust free fenders were used in the fronts and tabco was used in the rear to fix that mess I had. Enough of me talking....some pics! Just getting back to NY: Front View: Rear View: Rear Pasnside: Rear Driverside @ the house: As far as the rear, the ride height will be lowered....so I will post some pics once I get the flares mounted
  8. Radar Detectors in New York: Radar detectors are legal to use in New York, however they may not be used in commercial vehicles. Laser Jammers in New York: Laser jammers are legal to use in New York.
  9. Ha, that made me laugh!! First of all the red Z you own never comes out to play anymore and the turbo car will be silver PS- I can never be banned from the house!
  10. Yes the car is back! Man does it look better than I thought it would. 11. So....they said the car is painted and clear coat is on....geez this is horrible! "Knowing" the car is painted and can't see it..lol Car is suppose to be coming up tomorrow depending on weather since I didn't get the hatch or hood painted. So still the wait continues.
  12. Dave I guess they shall work as directional lights too? I have to come up and see this in person.
  13. Car being painted this weekend? Looking forward to seeing this Big P! I didn't have the heart for the color and switched to red...lol I think it is a great color.
  14. I was at David's house last week and snapped some pics of the kids car before it goes to paint jail. This thing is going to look great once done!
  15. I think it would look cool if you could do a full circle, the way it is and like the Audi...it looks incomplete. Think of the e39 BMW rings in the healights....sexy! Try the driver side out so we can compare the full circle vs half circle. PS, I do like how you can not see it during the normal lighting...came out betta than I thought.
  16. So another delay Says he found some bondo in the rear quarter, so glad it was fixed. Car was pretty rust free but repaints hides flaws. Painter said he should be done by weekend and will bring it back to me from NC. I am keeping my fingers crossed.
  17. So two years after this thread has been dead, I bring it back to life. Why? I learned something!!!! It is amazing how long wrong lingo and thought process can carry on! I am building my first motor and have been trying to learn as much as I can...my local machine shop even calls it Freeze Out Plugs! Thanks Paul for the heads up! This was a great thread to read.
  18. Rebuild what you got, I just had the LS1 one rebuilt for $45. Car would be down for a day.
  19. Ok, got my head back and will take some pics for you guys as soon as I can. Everything the first shop did was corrected or reworked. Thanks to the new shop that did the work, I have a better understanding of what kind of work goes into quality head work and why things are done. I am in th process of ordering a few parts for the block and hope to have it together within the next 2 weeks. Getting closer but still so far away. I plan to get the motor together and have it sitting inside the car by next month....fingers crossed.
  20. Yeah we only had to rest the tranny on my head last time to get it in...what a pain in the balls that was. Taking her out tomorrow?
  21. Sounds good, glad it was an easy and quick fix.
  22. Joe you are right, I meant to say it a little different. The first pump in line, I think the micron number is to high (only catches huge particles). I believe it to be higher than 100 which I am running on my car. The second filter in line is ok, just was over worked (in a good way) since it looked like it was doing all the filtering.....that explains the Nestle Quick crap in the filter. Honestly, I think the first session of the first day....sloshed up all the crap that was sitting in the bottom of the tank and then clogged the filter. No gas = no power:malebitch
  23. Yes, I understand what you mean and that is how the set up shoule be. This may explain the "flutter" sound I heard when I started the car a few days ago. The pump was have a hard time pushing the fuel past the second (smaller) filter. Glad it was a quick and easy fix and next time check everything.
  24. Quick fix, leave it in until you are ready to go all out and miss some drving time. You know me all about speed but not about missing driving season. Wait until Fall to rear it apart. Remove the tranny and drop the exhaust which is much quicker.
