  1. I got my 83 zxt with 82k miles for $250 then I sold the dash and int for $500! Now I have the motor apart for a L30ET build. Finding a complete car is usually cheaper but I say $500-$600 for motor/tranny is going rate. If you can get motor/trans/DS/rear end/cv's for $700 or so, I say go for it!
  2. NO MORE, unless they are part cars of course....or maybe I should get every yr 240z. This would mean I need a 69 and 72! Seriously though, I really have to think about what I am going to do here. The more I think about it the more I want to trade the BSR (red car) away for a 510 coupe and if not then Ebay. If all else fails....I'll just keep them all and make Tom happy. This would mean L30ET --> 70 Stock --> 71 V8 --> 73 Hmmm, have to think about this.
  3. Ok Ok, I was just teasing! Of course I am going to pick it up for $1K. Not sure how happy my mother will be about that =) Honestly now my problem is as stated above by Dave. I was thinking about pulling the v8 out of the EVIL Z and throwing it in the Bob Sharp Z. The L30ET will def go in the 70 car! Another train of thought is to do exactly what Dave said and sell the BS car but I am not quick to sell a Z that is clean, pretty rust free, complete int, dash isn't cracked and on and on. I would trade the Z (red one) for a really clean 510 coupe if I could. Who knows what to do? =)
  4. I was called today and she can be mine for.........................$1000. What you guys think?
  5. I stopped by to check out Mike's car and this is what I saw! I am telling you this car is looking damn good! 2-3 more days and it will be home.
  6. Forgot to mention. After looking at the car the next day I told her the miles had rolled over and had 124k. When she saw it she thought only 24k...either way the car was only on the road for 6 years....paint missing from the wheel just looked like surface rust getting to it. The slight mold in the car tells me that the garage it was in wasn't vented and caused that process. Either way....all that original stuff is going if I get it. This is HBZ, lmao! Mike if I can get my LS1 Z to look as nice as yours than I will stop finding these cars....Joe....I only find them so I can tell you! =P
  7. For now we run about 5-6 6 lap races a night. This will help everyone get use to the game and work out any bugs you may have. We start the season in Jan, we run one 30 min race a night (Sunday) for a few weeks. Tons of fun!
  8. Anyone new joining us tonight? Let me know.
  9. Well depends on price and how much work it will need. I can see the L30ET going into it and the v8 going into the red one I just got. We shall see
  10. Those are the guys who do the real hard work during storms -->hats off to them. No I work as a project manager in the new construction dept. When we have storms, my group goes out and calls in the damage in the "hot" spots. Reporting back which crews are needed and what is needed for the job. Example of where I found this car: (5) 45' poles needed, 4 50kva single phase transformers, primary and secondary wires, tree crew to cut up trees in the road, sight safety (burning hot wires on ground). I will update if I can with pics of this road.
  11. Well Thursday night, upstate NY (Orange County) was hit hard with an ice storm that took out 9000 folks power! So my department with the company gets called out to spot. Which is basically, going from zone to zone looking what kind of crews will be needed to repair down trees, poles and lines. While driving down this road at 12am I spot a Z sitting under two covers. I knock on the door of course because I can see flash lights moving inside the house. A woman comes to the door and tells me it is her dads car and only has 19k on it. Well, I went back the next day and took a few pics. So what is it? 1970 2/70 built 240. Dash --> not cracked....int --> almost perfect! The rear dog leg panels still have the plastic wrapper on them! I was the first to pull up the jute (is that the right term?) on the floor to check what shape it was in. Drives floor has a small spot and looks very very good. Car was last on the road in 77. Basically the car was too small for a family of 5 so was put into storage until last year. The woman I spoke to says she doesn't want to see it rot and would give it to me for very very cheap but her dad who is 78 thinks it is worth lots.....so I made an offer and now we wait. I told her, I know I am going to end up with the car so we went over a few things to keep it from getting in worse shape. Let me know what you think....
  12. Looking good! Hopefully it is back next week and I can see it in person! =)
  13. Any of you guys want to run GTR2? We have our own server to run different tracks! Cygnusx1 and I are online playing now.
  14. Got something in the mail today! Dave and I started going through the Megatune program just to understand some of the features and see the screens! Lots to learn but just going over it today, lots of things started to make sense. Everything is like a 101 tech class to me so I have to read and understand step by step. Another book I just got from 1 Tuff Z which I would def tell anyone to pick up: Great great great great info in there guys! I am talking to the noobs like me. I learned a lot in the first two chapters!! Very excited about the MS and looking forward to the learning and headaches.

  19. 7-9k, honestly. I own one and I know the time and cost in doing it but as you can see...more people are doing the swap and hard eco times! Go back and check Dale's post for his car. Far from stock motor and lots of goodies susp wise (coil overs, 5 lug, big brakes, roll bar, strut bar) sold the car for 4K. Just keep it
