Of the broken parts

Thanks all for the comments and I am sure I wouldn't have gotten this far without you guys. Yes I am very glad I did not sell the car....def would have been a HUGE mistake. I will have REAL driving vids come this weekend.....I know the first two are subpar but hey I didn't expect to drive it that day. Still working away on the car and plan on putting in lots of solid hours on the car with the next two weeks....means no parts cars...no hanging out unless it is in the shop. Biggest task right now is cleaning up the wiring....also order seat belts today..and need to source two new tires ( brand new ones got trashed towing the car down =(..... I think my q45 mounts are "ok"...def strong enough but not pretty enough. I can see why there has not been a run of these mounts yet. Well I know it has been a few weeks since the last post but I yesterday I finally got the Z to move under its own power!!! What a great feeling!!! Two yrs of owning this car and neva see it move under its own power ended yesterday. Some issues I had to deal with in the past week, clutch line was 1/4 turn loose on the clutch slave which means everything had to come down to fix that prob. When this task was finished, putting back the exhausted turn out to be LOTS of work. Why? The collector bolts are very tight fit, so this is an issue that has been "fixed" for now. I have the oil pressure sending unit set up behind the intake manifold. Well yesterday the 90 degree elbow cracks as I go to tighten it down alil more. Start the car and a 10 foot burst of oil comes out! All over everything....I just laugh and think to myself worst has happen and I might drive this thing today. All aside and done...as of right now I am waiting for my new dip stick...because this dip stick(me) lost the one i bought already. You will see that in the vid clip..spark from the oil shooting out of the hole. LOL, I remember the dash I got last yr for $100.....the guy who sold it to me says, "I wouldn't put this old crap back in a car if I was restoring it, give me $100 for the dash and $40 for the gnose". Got to love when people don't know what they have.

LoL, yes it does. Every thought about high miles Z28? Does it have to be a M6(6 speed)? Always see those old cops cars for cheap....just high miles. Check Ebay and ls1.com and ls1tech.com

$8,000!!!!!!!!!!!! for a donor!! Don't spend that kind of money on a donor and if you must near that amount LS1 out of late model Camaro's Z28 or Trans Am's is the way to go. The LSx powerplants are cheaper now. I bought my donor for $6200 32k blk 02 Z28 back in March of 06. No need to buy a Z28 SS unless it is cheap and comes with the hood, spoiler and other little stuff with ss badges on it for reselling purpose only. No difference in hp out put for your swap. Right now I are shooting for the 3rd weekend of September, Sat the 22nd. Joe aka Rags will let us know if his place is up for use for that day. If not how about the paintball field if that is still an option. If not we can all gather in the same park as before...bbq...hike...or just chill out as before. Maybe this time we can go for a longer drive and plan 2 or 3 tops along the way. Is a noon meeting time better for everyone? Lunch....hang out....hour or so drive (each way)...pics should take about 5-6 hours total for the day. As this meet I would like to get an offical name done, figure out who would like to be or show interest in being on the board, local sponsers for the club and brainstorm. I have done some of this work already and would like to get more ideas flowing.....even if you can not make the meet...post here or email me to voice anything you would like to say. We should have some new people this time showing up and I plan on making flyers with basic info on it and hand them out within the next 2 weeks! Clive

Looks good.....does the motor sit high up or is it just the angles of the pics? The welds do look very neat.....Looking forward to some pics from under the car when you get the tranny in also.....keep up the good work!

How much are you thinking for the shell? I always loved looking at your car! What are the new plans?? A million questions i know, i know. lol

Does this need to get pushed back to the en of the month to give everyone some time to plan? I would like to get as much people there are possible.
