Just do the HG!!!!!! End of story. Wait to do the MONSTER BUILD, that way cash isn't spent twice.....no need for a mild rebuild and the motor right now still pulls nice. Drive it the way it is until next summer.

I think Vinh is right. I do not think your PCM is bad and your 12v signal is very weak. Just try as stated to "hot wire" everything right to the battery. You should get the engine to start that way. Took me, Vinh, and John at Speartech to figure this out. Which LS1 motor do you have? I do not have my oil pressure sending unit hooked up and it starts...hope that helps. Clive

1tuffz posted before saying: I weighed an L26 fully dressed with a zx 5 speed vs the LS1 and t56. Results are posted somewhere here on hybrid but the L26 is heavier than the LS and t56 outweighs the zx 5 speed. net result for my comparison-the LS/t56 combo weighs about 23 more pounds total, but as mentioned above, the weight is lower and more toward the middle of the car.

I just hot wired my PCM wire right to the battery for now just for startups but all I have to do is change the power wire to the right ignition 12v source and it will be fine. Vinh is coming out to finish my car for me next week. I am sure he will have some input here.

I just had this problem a week ago! My problem was that the PCM was not getting a constant 12v during cranking. Did you check if you are getting fuel? Check if the injectors are pulsing. If they are then the problem I believ would be with the PCM not telling the motor to start. Also your PCM may still have the theft system on and that also will prevent the motor from starting. Others may have more to add. Hope this helps. Clive

I remember seeing this car in person and it does sit up very high. I think the guys are right here, if that car is lowered at all I def will see problems even on regular roads. Any type of road elevation change at any decent speed may cause an issue. Also what happens "if" you are breaking down and need to pull off the road.....example shopping area....will you be able to clear the "sidewalk" just to pull in. I know you say it is a Sunday driver but you can't always plan the roads and what will happen. Clive

Weds night the email will go out....... looks like we will have a good group of people showing up. I am keepin my fingers crossed that my Z will make it out, I just got it back from the exhaust shop...now need a few more things and we could be rolling! Keep the info coming guys....I was also told that there will be a fireworks display going on near where we will be later that evening for those of you who are bringing the gfs or wife...

I know there are 2 or 3 members but I can not remember off top the names. Anyway I just landed my first job out of college in the area and would like to get some input on a decent place to live for a good cost. I went to school in Alfred which is only no more than an hour and half from Buf. I will be working for National Fuel and mainly out of "Mineral Springs" area. Just looking forward to getting up there and checking out the local club. I am a member for the Rochester Z club and will def join Buffalo's club while I am there. Thanks for all the positive feedback so far......I can't wait to drive this thing! This week the exhaust 3 inch from the headers all the way back was made. The same shop will try and make a 4 inch intake for me. I can't afford SS exhaust right now so I went with aluminized steel. Should be good for 8-10 years....what do you think? No salt nor winter so I am just throwing out a number that makes sense to me. All this plsu coming to get my car with a flatbed and to bring it back for $600. Not bad at all. I picked up a rusty rusty 72' parts car, mainly for the black int. The diamond pattern is in pretty nice shape and the plastic trims. Also the car helps with hardware and the famous question "where does this go again?" 80LT1 is helping answer my questions about throwing some HID units in the car so I can have it road ready for the 4th of Aug. What would I like to have done within the next week...... 1. Seatbelts LOL!! 2. Lights on the car. 3. Drive shaft and front diff mount finished 4. COMPLETE nut and bolt of the car 5. Brake and clutch fluids....bleed Sure there are more things...I will keep you posted. Clive
