calling the pro's? well here I am. Go to Nissan and get the metallic, lead type OEM head gasket for a 1983 Nissan 280zx turbo. Its about $45 I think? are your pistons flat or dished? If they are flat, don't run much boost. Disclaimer: I am not really a pro, just a guy with a bunch of youtube videos, and I've blown 3 motors trying to turbo them, and run super high boost. blah blah blah

Can I use a trans cooler from Autozone for an oil cooler for my Z? Seems like I should be able to? I want to replace the stock turbo cooler thats on there now.

no pics, its just in primmer. Its been wet sanded, and the flares, tail light surround, hood vents are painted flat black. Its a very trying time for me. I miss it so much, and he's dragging his feet painting it.

Not really, I like the chrome look of those. And it seems like they always peal after a few years? Painter says car should be done this next week. Our Z carclub is having a car show at Grubbs Nissan July 25, and I told him I really really want to be there. no joke this is paint jail. 3 months.....ARRRRRRRRR. I drove the car 2 times down my street with the new Z31 trans setup when I decided to have him paint it, he said 2 weeks lol. Not to mention my other trans blew 2 weeks after putting in the new gt35r turbo. I never even tuned the car! Just added 10% to the fuel map which was close, then trans goes POP. It is murder waiting on this car.

Fly back to Maine, and spend my time in my Mothers arm. (I seriously teared up a bit:redface:)
