    Thanks guys, I think I'm going to go with it. Its ACE hardware Rust..?.. something "safty orange" mixed 50/50 with thinner and sprayed on. About $14 a gallon?? After this test area drys I'll see how it feels, hardness and such.

    Oooo, hey ON3GO I'm going to Disney world in Florida Aug 9th I'm going to look up your tag, find out where you live, and sleep at your house for 5 days..lol The hotel stay is $2700.00 all included, think of the motor work I could do for that kind of $$$$$$$$$

    Why do people black out there tag in a pic? Hundreds of people see it when you drive it, park it. Why? Should I do the same?

    This is just a test paint on the underside of my hood. Mind you in most spots there is not full coverage, and it was only washed-not prepped. Is it to orange? I dont want it to look like a "school bus yellow" type of orange.

    It seems this is the spot to post this? I rode in the Arlington Texas parade today July 4th dressed as Elvis on my 05 red Honda crf 50. You can hear my wife, and daughter yelling!! lol I'm on the newer looking bike, and thats me at the very end of the video doing circles. Listen to the crowd when I put one hand in the air.

    the springs make a cone shape, and the tip of the cone should point towards the back of the car away from the motor.

    No the springs face out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So the throw out bearring can depress them from the tranny toward the motor.

    do you have the car on a lift? Thats the way to go! I put a 5 speed from a 83 280zx It has an awesome overdrive!! good luck

    I did'nt read everyones posts I'm running out the door, but When I took my head off the chain slacked and jumpped teeth on the bottom, at the crank and then the light collord tooth ment nothing and I had to go off the cam gear notch, tdc, compression stroke of #1, and the dizzy is point to #1 plug.

    Hey that is a good Idea! I've got an air filter just like that one but did not have the room, I think I will do what you have done and put in a shield for the rainy days. As far as the wiring I just took out the original n/a harness. That was scarry to me because alot of the wires run under the dash, but I got it all out! The fuel pump! I know, I know, I need to mount it right.

    did you do a compression test? and change the oil if its been in the water.

    Here in the Dallas area my temp needle never goes past the half way point. And it has been 100 deg already. I have the stock radiator, with an intercooler, and oil cooler in front of that, Plus I run my A/C, and I never have overheated or run hot. I am not positve, but I think its the stock radiator. I did find that the car had a Webber big mouth 60mm TB, and a Centerforce clutch when I bought it in its non turbo form about 2 years ago. Its also a 78 280z

    What no A/C!! lol Thats cool that alternator is where the a/c goes and the power stearing pump is where the allt. was.......a picture says 1000 words:icon45:
