my car runs fine, but when the motor is cold the tach bounces all around. But I don't feel anything in the motor it keeps on running smooth just the tach is jumping around?

When the guy was putting the tranny in my car at AllZ in Ft worth Tx. he told me that my AFM looked too close to my radiator shroud. That was about a week ago. So this morning as I'm leaving for work, I remember him saying that and wedge somthing against it to push it away so it will get better air flow. Holy moly! my boost now wants to hit 18, and pulls like a friggin???? I don't know, somthing that pulls really hard. Now I have to pull the boost down. It use to flaten out on the highway, and I thought it was because of the poor tunning of the stock turbo afm, and stuff? But now:lol: WOW it pulls hard all the way to redline! just thought I'd share

The speedo said 140. I don't know if it really was. The car felt terrible swaying bad. That was 15 lbs boost in 5th not red line with the original tranny. now I have the 83 tranny with a better overdrive so who know what the speedo will say now.

I had a Fiero, loved it. And it never caught on fire:lol: like they all do. I'm 6'3" and had lots of leg room with the motor in the back. Do you have the speakers in the headrest?

wait.......... it a fuel pressure regulator. you can adjust your FP by turning that nut......................................................................................................................I think

now that I think of it I think I must have an 81 harness, because I had the cas on the block. but now have it in the dizzy, and now run an 83 auto turbo ecu. So the plug is the same for the cas. and I guess for the ecu its the same too.

I was looking at my video again and it seems like I'm hitting 12 pounds in 1st, then 13-14 in 2nd with the stock T3 but I never get wheel spin, unless I'm on slick blacktop. It pulls pretty good. Ask the guy in the 06 GTO I pulled from at a light:wink: could be better if I had Megasquirt? I think I'm running rich......I have alot of black soot in the tail pipe.

I did it to my n/a block, Let me think, you know the smaller bolt holes just under the head? I drilled it out about a 1/4 inch? I theaded the smaller size bolt into the hole, measured how much it went in, then drilles it that much with the size drill bit for the tap that matched the threads on the knock sensor ( i put tape on the drill bit so as to not go too far) then tapped it as much as I could, and installed the sensor.

When I got new tires ( a little lower profile ) the speedo was reading fast, now it actually seems better? I'm going to get the wife to drive next to me at 70 and see how fast I'm going. Then I'll see if the other speedo drive goes back in.

I just plugged the cable in the 83 tranny, so the speedo is off, but when I ride with other cars on the freeway, at speed I can "feel" that the car is at about 70-80 mph and the rpm is much lower. You know after driving the car for 2 years, as soon as I got on the highway I could tell the overdrive was awesome!

I put in an 83 n/a 5 speed, and it feels great! in 5th 80 mph is under 3k rpm, I think the speedo is reading right? but the overdrive is much much better. And when I went to put in my new clutch, what did I see! A "Centerforce?" multi disk clutch! with lots of life left in it. So I left it in.

I hope it is kinda tall, I need better MPG I don't mind shifting to 4th for a race. And yes the higher CR that I have feels good at going up hills or passing out of boost.

I got an 83 n/a 5 speed trans for $250 the car it came from had 165k but the trans was rebuilt at some point from the markings on it. Its going in Sunday, there went my cash for a holset, or megasquirt:fmad: oh well at least I might get a better overdrive

I don't know about a "KIT" I just put ALL the turbo stuff on my NA motor.

yes my speedo cable was leaking. I filled the trans when I noticed it but it was too dry fot to long? It took over 1 qt:cry: I want to swear real bad, but I am a donating member and that would just not be right.

The only good thing to come of this, I can put that new clucth in that I bought about a year ago.

Are 4th and 5th taller in the 81-83 n/a 5 speed? I can get one for $250 does that sound good?
