Well 5th just sh!t the bed today on the way to work. What year car should I get another 5 speed tranny from. Mine (78) 4th and 5th were real close together. If I was in 4th say 3000 rpm when I shift to 5th it would go to like 3300 rpm whats the best tranny to get better hwy MPG? Or whats the best all around. I know where to get one. Just which one. AND are there any codes on the tranny. Most of the trannys I will be looking at are all ready out of the car.............. It always made noise in 5th, so I don't think it was the turbo thats blew it, at least thats what I'm telling the wife:icon44:
you don't have to rebuild the motor, and you can use the stock everything as long as you use a rising rate fuel pressure regulator. but you wont be able to run much boost. Do you know what this "kit" includes
So lets say I keep my stock T3, fab the DP into say a t3/t4 or a holset? plumb both intakes into my FMIC then have the one going to the intake?
Mmmmmmmmmmm This is the sort of thing that keeps me up at night! I think it would be cool if you could make it all fit.
Have the exhaust of one turbo feeding another turbo. Would this work on an L6 turbo?

OK thanks there was two of them on e-bay a couple weeks ago one sold for about $350, the other sold for about $300. I bid about $298 on the 2nd one. I'm trying to aford MSnS, and a holset man its tuff!
The HY35W that seems to be the turbo to put on the L28. What is the A/R of the cold, and hot side. And what about the HX35 like this one.

About 2 years ago when I bought my car, 2 weeks later my heater core poped! warped my head....good times. Anyway I bought a rebuilt head, put it on and had the same back fire untill I had the cam just right. Seems like I remember it not wanting to run with the cam chain 1-2 teeth off from where it needed to be. Same thing with the oil pump shaft, when I put my turbo oil pump with 82 pump shaft in, the shaft had to be perfect, can't be 1 tooth off either way.
I run a n47 head with about a 8:5.1 CR at 15 pounds of boost, front mount IC with no ping. But I have a P90 head that I'm going to put on when I find a bigger turbo. It will lower my CR to about a 7:5.1 but it will flow better (square exhaust ports) and I will be able to flow more air with my bigger turbo.
I bid $233 and it went for $255...... I'll be right back I gotta get another beer:evil: maby I should buy one and put it together? I'm going to keep looking, I will have MSnS, and a holset, and my P90 head on, and, and, and, and.......

can I just buy say a 2.2 or 3.0 and program it for what I need, boost-spark. Please help me out.
