  1. Well CRAP do I feel dumb. I finally figured out where to look for my followed threads, and how to enable the instant emails. Thanks for your assist Dan!
  2. Dan, I followed your instructions. Still do not have any "managed links". I even went into a few I remembered, clicked the button to stop following the link, then clicked on the follow this link button, and hit the immediate email reply. I got an email when you first replied, but it still doesn't show in my followed threads. Am I missing something?
  3. Is anyone else having these problems ?
  4. I have my setting checked for instant email notification, but am not getting anything when a reply is posted. Also, I can't find any of my "subscribed links". I tried looking everywhere, but it shows "empty" or no watched threads. Am I missing something? I didn't have these problems until the changeover. Yes, I am still trying...
  5. BTW, I contacted the Colorbond folks to see how many cans it would take to dye Z seats. They said "1.7 cans per seat". So I went ahead and bought 5 cans, just to be safe, figuring about 2 cans per seat, and an extra can for possible touchups, and I wanted to freshen up my armrests. I did both seats and both armrests with 2 cans, and the 2nd can is not empty yet
  6. I'll consider it after you have your 40 posts...
  7. When I bought this '77 Z about 3 years ago, it had some gawd awful seats that were dark blue and tan. They were cloth, stained, had a couple cig burn holes, stunk, and were just plain ugly. I found out later they were from a '86 Toyota MR2. So I went on a journey to find original Z seats. I found a really nice set that had new foam and covers from a 240Z. The only problem is they were WHITE, and I wanted black. But they were in such good shape, and the price was right, so I bought them. After I yanked the Toyota seats out, I realized the 240 seats I bought had different seat rails. Crap. Had to put the Toyota seats back in. So I hunted down a set of 280 seat rails off Evil-Bay. They were "supposedly" for all 75-78 280Z's. WRONG. The 75-76 are different than the 77-78's. These seat rails I bought were for the 75-76, and mine is a '77. CRAP. Finally got a set of correct seat rails. Decided I couldn't wait to dye them, plus the weather was too cold and my garage is not heated. So I installed them. I guess white seats in a black interior didn't look too bad. Much better than the Toyota seats. And much more comfortable. Weather has improved, so yanked the seats out and proceeded to dye them black with the Colorbond Vinyl Dye. Pics of my progress...
  8. So P-factor, now that you're here, what is the item you are trying to sell? (free plug for ya)
  9. Nice looking project with tons of potential and possibilities
  10. Think he had his nuts overtorqued.
  11. If I remember right (before the software change), his profile said Portland, Oregon.
  12. I'd buy those in a heart beat if I thought they'd fit my '77 with stock suspension and no flares
  13. Sooooooo Michael, how many people do you have that have "committed" to getting in on the group buy (counting me)?
  14. Nice job. The clay bar routine is MUCH better than rubbing or polishing compound.
  15. You can fix a car, but you can't fix stupid.
  16. Yeah, a big ass spoiler AND a stainless steel fart can muffler make 'em go fast. Not.
