  1. OUCH... I hate when that happens. Hope you're ok. Let me know when you're able to make one. If you have a pic of one for a 280, maybe you can shoot me a pic. All I've seen so far are ones for 240's (even though the ad's say they fit 240-260-280's, we all know they do not). Thanks, and get all healed up soon!
  2. If it keeps smoking, try this:
  3. Better to have a screwy tach then a screwy motor, so glad to hear that. If you can't fix your tach, you can get a used one for around $30. Cheaper than having to work on your engine. Does your tach rev past 3900 when you hit the throttle while sitting still? If you have a tall rearend gearing, 3900 might be close to 100mph.
  4. You're welcome. It probably didn't come up in your search as the seller didn't have "JDM" in his title.
  5. Here's a pretty sweet 1970 240Z http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/cto/1639600444.html
  6. Is this what you are looking for? eBay grille
  7. Do you also make them for 280Z's? I wouldn't mind having a full face mesh for my 280 as I am using 240 turn signals. I do not need the openings for 280 turn signals.
  8. Here in Oregon, you can be cited for "visible smoke". I think only the Portland and Medford area's presently have a DEQ inspection requirement be done every 2 years when you renew your tags. The rest of us are "exempt" (for now), but the visible smoke applies statewide.
  9. If you got it off eBay, that explains alot I'm sure it's NOT a MSA Victory spoiler. You probably got a homemade one. I've seen some on eBay in the past. Some people will make a mold from an original spoiler with fiberglass and fabricate knock-offs, which is probably what you ended up with. I hope you didn't pay alot for yours.
  10. I hope you upgraded your headlight harness. Also, pull and check your headlight fuses, and your fusible links. 30 plus years tends to corrode everything electrical.
  11. Hey Michael, are you still accepting orders for the "special price"? I know someone who would like to get in on this deal if it's still open.
  12. Looks like there might be a crack on the passenger speaker. Hard to really tell, but from THAT pic, it looks ok.
  13. Sweet lookin' 260, but those turn signals
  14. Since you already paid for the S2000 seats, I'd normally go with them. I wouldn't think it should be that difficult to fab up brackets to the 240 brackets. I went with reconditioned 240 seats in my 280. True, they don't have the lumbar support and comfort of newer seats. Guess it's just a matter of personal taste and thickness of your wallet. I'm 6'2. My Z had some butt-ass ugly seats from a MR2 when I bought it. They had all sorts of adjustments. But since the cockpit of a S30 is tight (between the doors and center console), I didn't feel the need for high side bolsters. The orignal seats are easier to get in & out of the Z, and I just like the looks. No rice cooker look here. I also put in a 240 steering wheel. I like the old school look on the interior, with updates on the exterior (paint, wheels, spoilers front & rear).
  15. I have a shortend shifter and love it. Nuthin' like a flick of the wrist to go thru all five gears
  16. Probably had old gas that finally got diluted enough and burnt out. Gas doesn't last long before it goes sour. I'd change the fuel filter, as it is probably gunked up by now.
