  1. Hey Scottie, I just realized the front air dam you are looking for looks alot like mine...
  2. I bought this 280Z about 3 years ago. It had the 240 front spoiler with 240 turn signal/parking lights (which were not hooked up). I finally decided to pull the front bumper off. Then, thanks to DHP123166, I got 240 light bulb holders so I could use the 240 lights. I was going to paint the 280 turn signal lenses black, but decided someone might need them. So I cut up some black scrap plastic to fit in where the 280 turn signal were. Here's the before and after pics. Next thing on my to-do list is the rear bumper.
  3. Good thing he didn't try to sell it on HybridZ. Imagine the hell he would catch
  4. Bingo. Someone did a "ask a question" to the seller and told the seller. He is going to correct the ad. STILL funnier than hell. I hope everyone gets to take a look before he corrects it.
  5. Are your parking light/turn signal lens painted black? What do you do, use your arm when signaling a turn ???
  6. Does sound like your battery is toast. I'd put it on a charger and see if it will hold a charge. Clean up your battery posts and cables. I'd be surprised if it was the starter, but trying to start it with a weak battery can kill a starter (if you replace a starter, they ALWAYS recommend you have a FULLY charged battery before attempting to start your car.
  7. Most battery cables are sold by the length, so I would think if you measured how long you need, and auto parts store would have it. Or you could get them from Black Dragon or TheZstore.com (which is probably not that much more in reality). I replaced mine from Carquest for about $10 each.
  8. If you are still looking for a heater control cable, I have a good one. Let me know.
  9. You were lucky. I had the same problem on my '78, and a friend had the SAME issue on his '76. I put on a NEW light switch, which didn't help. Then, after some research, I checked my fusible links. They were good, but I went ahead and cleaned up all the contacts. Bingo.
  10. Try using the search button. This topic has been discussed before.
  11. Very nice! I think the last batch of T-Birds have the turn signals built in to the headlights too.
  12. I need a pair of 240Z light bulb holders for the front turn signal/parking lights. Prefer ones with the pigtail still intact. I don't need the lens or light assembly, just the pieces that holds the bulbs. If you have an extra pair, please shoot me a pic and your price including shipping to 97374. Thanks!
  13. I've been searching for LED's also, and can't find schitt. I'm guessing they got some for another rig, and modified them to fit under the Z lens. Would be cool to have those LED's for the turn signal/parking lights too. They suck less juice, so would probably benefit the old wiring in Z's.
  14. Those wheels were NOT factory. They were made by Appliance Wheels. A lot of dealers did add-on options, using various aftermarket wheels, window coverings, etc. Some people may think they were factory, but they were just something the car dealer put on after the car was shipped over.
  15. The round lights in the air dam look like driving or fog lights. It looks like he has those headlights with the turn signal built in (look at the bottom of the headlight).
  16. Are you sure the pump is actually shutting off? Was it a new or rebuilt pump? Nissan or aftermarket? If the pump is really turning off, if might be overheating. Just because it is new doesn't mean it's good. I've had to replace 2 alternators and 3 starters within 6 months. All were new, but not Nissan parts. Just a thought.
  17. You will find most other parts are interchangeable between 75-76, and from 77-78's. There are a few parts that work on all 75 thru 78's. I would think the scuff plate should be the same. But don't quote me
  18. Do not drive more than 59 minutes round trip, or get a new pump
