  1. DAW, I LOVE the Bad MBZ!!! Excellent work. Seriously nice. Hard to do? Davy
  2. I love the wheels and the whole car overall, except the "paint." Good thing it's temporary Davy
  3. $300 G-Nose from Craigslist. Yep, Hoover bagged that baby before I did. What a steal---what a deal!! Congrats, Hoover! Davy
  4. There was what looked like a blue Monte--was that yours? What does yours look like? Davy
  5. Speed is the NASCAR channel it seems--they should change the name and end the confusion... Either that or they have a severe shortage of anything of substance. I watch a lot of Discovery Channel's programming that is auto related as well. I REALLY miss the WRC and drag racing---never on when I want to watch!!! Davy
  6. Man, Larry, that's so hard. God bless you & your family, everyone involved. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Davy
  7. Nice gusseting work! This looks like a full on race car now, no?!? The NASCAR style door area looks like it'll actually work, but hopefully you'll never need it! Good luck in getting the plastic interior pieces back in.... j/k Davy
  8. Tim is saying that "No, the 30 year exemption is not a continuous rolling exemption, so you MUST get your car smogged." You can bring your car into CA and then not register it at all (keep it a race car only), or register it in another state and hope the authorities don't notice the out of state plates, or take a massive loss and sell it to me for a paultry sum... Davy
  9. Or you can do what I did: balance out the women with more sons!!! Congrats to you and your family, Jamie! Davy
  10. I remember talking to Kyle (owner) of ZDriver.com last year and he told me he wanted to do a Titan engine swap. I know he was working on a TT V6 Z engine swap, but I have not followed the build, so I'm not sure if he finished, dumped it, or what. The Titan motor is next on his list tho... Davy

    I'm Sorry

Well, John, I'm sorry you're sorry Davy
  12. Wow, the main feature is that it is a drop top and NOT ONE picture of the car with the top down. You'd think that would be the feature that sells the car, but noooo, our friend didn't think of that.... Davy
  13. Wow, I'm a moderator and I can't answer that question--I forgot what the admins had decided. Keep some photos handy or you can email a few to me or a friend in the forum you know and have them post them on the site for you. Just a thought. Crud. I thought it came as a separate piece, but it looks like you are out of luck possibly. I will take your advice if I go that route!!!! Davy
  14. No I have not had experience with the CF ones, but man, for that price, you could buy the fiberglass ones from Classic Datsun and have them covered in CF. And they weigh 30 lbs too from MSAs ad!! Shipping must be a biotch. As for cutting, guys have done it both ways, but it really depends on what your tires and wheels will do under the car and how wide you are going--if your tire & wheel combo hits the fenders now, you have to cut, but if not, then don't worry about cutting anything. They attach with rivets or nuts & bolts. That said, do a search and you should find a thread by ON3GO, I believe, where all of that was answered. Davy
  15. That 'bumper' just simply rocks. I love that look. If I wasn't going to fab my own, it would be the one to buy. Can you return the grill mesh?? Davy
  16. Ah, a good question for one of our resident painters or powdercoaters! Guys? Davy
  17. Yes, Zoops is the only product like on the market and it is readily available. Like the Pope just mentioned it is EXPENSIVE, but works. Polishing can be pain, especially on parts with a lot of angles--the Zoops product keeps you from all the maintenance work and that is priceless. I have yet to pony up the money for the product, but I will once the engine is installed. Davy
  18. Yeah, speaking of the wheels, Tim, those were on there just for the paint, no? All that work, nice work too, and lowly stockers? 17" Torque Thrust II's!! A lowering kit and you'd be just about there Davy
  19. Good looking Scarab--silver works for me Davy
