  1. Looks good! It's cool to have the ability to do both HTML and bodywork! Davy
  2. ...Except that this is an IMSA body kit, not made by Reaction Research. If you can't find any more IMSA parts, then the YZ kit is about as close to a wide flared kit as you will find---they are NOT the same though. Davy
  3. It is an IMSA body kit (copy of the racing car flares). I like stuff like that Davy
  4. There IS a pic of a green convertible 240Z at MSA with a chopped windshield. I found it here: http://www.zparts.com/events/wcn2002/promo/index.html Davy
  5. Go to the Jags That Run (JTR) site and look for the V8 install kit--you should see it there. Davy
  6. You did a good job of positioning the lights (splitting the difference) above the oval tailpipe. Nice work! The style of light just really does the car justice--good choice there. Davy
  7. Sweet car! Any plans for making as fast as it looks? Heh, oh yeah, welcome to the forum! Davy
  8. No way that is going to happen soon--I may be moving if my company decides they'd like me in a new office *sigh*. I'm more interested in DRINKING good beer, even more then I'm interested in making it. However, it's still something I'd like to do AND get good at it. I wonder if it will be illegal by the time I try to make it.... Davy
  9. Thanks, Brett--I'll look, but the only V6 that interests me would be from a GN!! RPMS, that makes me think twice. Hmmm, the only thing (besides design) that interests me about the Esprit is the possibility of good power to weight ratio and handling. I'm waaay far away from doing this since I have not even finished the V8 240Z yet. First things first!! A V8 911 would suit me more-kits available! Davy
  10. John, I take it that it is the novelty of having something completely different that makes you interested in doign this? I know you are extremely capable of making nearly anything handle well, let alone being able to fabricate a racecar from scratch, but why not do a JTR-type aluminum-block V8 Z with a 6 speed or something like that? Is this a class restricted car you are toying with building? You peak my interest with this thread. Davy
  11. I thought it was a great burnout. Heh, lotsa tire smoke and all. Motor sounds pretty healthy too. Nice vid. Davy
  12. Dale, you gotta be kidding: you live that close to Gordon Biersch??? Man, what a life. They have a Maibock (brew sold during the month of May) that is they very best of GB, but only available from the restaurant one month out of the year. ON3GO, domestics are good IF they are not the mass produced kind. I have not been able to get into Budweiser or the like, but to each his own. If someone, say John Coffey, offers me a cold Coors, I'll gladly drink it!! Many of you guys have mentioned brands that I have not heard of, so I may be trying some new ones in the near future due to my peaking interest!! My brother and I have been talking about brewing our own, but that takes money$$$. I know Don Manzo (dmanzo) brews his own and it is supposed to be pretty good! If I make it out to Gilroy this year, I'll pay him a visit. Davy
  13. I have often wondered just what some of your favorite beers that you are drinking in other parts of the country and why you fond them enjoyable. I feel "lucky" to be in a place (SF Bay Area) where I can get a ton of tasty microbrews and other beers that I find tasty. I have often travelled to Munich, Germany and am convinced that their beer is head and shoulders over the majority of other beer out there. Franziscanner, Augustinerbrau, and Haaker Pschorrbrau are some of my favorite labels from Munich. I do enjoy Sierra Nevada Pale Ale (Chico, CA)--a "fruity, hoppy beer" and Gordon Biersch (San Jose, CA)---little bit hoppy--as some of my staple domestics. For some reason, I cannot get into Guinness. It just does not appeal to me. When I think to myself, "Man, I just want a beer right now," I cannot get myself to drink a Guinness draft. I tend to leave the mass produced labels alone... Anyone? Davy
  14. I was going to say that those Pantera ZF transmissions are going to be extremely expensive, but then my senses took over and I remembered that this is actually a Ferrari. I think just the tranny on a Ferrari could pay for the sweet drivetrain he has installed in that 308. I like what he is doing and I'm extremely curious about the 308: Was this a salvage title car, theft recovery, or something of that nature? Usually you don't find guys doing this unless it's something like that. I'd love to see a forced induction SBC in that thing, along with some sick Konig flares and such. Man, what a ride. I have contemplated something similar in a Lotus Esprit from the late 1970's. I think it could also be done. Thanks for posting--keep us updated, but make sure you post a plethora of pics in the NON-Tech forum (although that is a Chevy Motor) !!! Davy
  15. Nice ZX, but keep trying a search and make sure you pick out the drivetrain that suits you best. Personally I like the Chevy motors and trannies, but Ford has some great products as well. Good luck. Davy
  16. Yep, I'm a dreamer for sure (Auxilary will back me up on that one). I met Mike Knell of JTR back in 1991 and bought the first edition of the JTR V8Z conversional manual. I was convinced I was going to build a V8Z within a year or so. Well, I married later that year and never had the space or money to do it. Bought a house, saddled with a huge mortgage and had some kids, bang bang bang bang bang. I have all the parts now and the car as well, but I have been remodelling the house, which is turning out simply great, but I have no time at the moment. I will be selling the house this year for a bigger one in a cheaper area and buying a house that does not need a ton of work. I'll be in a much better financial situation and have more time!!! All in all, it has taken me all these years, yet I still dream. I want the dream to become reality soon. I have the need for speed Davy
  17. Many many thanks for all the congrats, guys! No pics uploaded yet, but she is truly a small wonder. I'm happy we were able to round out the bunch with a little girl at the end, for sweetness sake. Yes, my pit crew is growing!! I am a happy man! Davy
  18. Owen, that is looking awesome! You doing the work yourself or is it by someone else?? Let us know! Davy
  19. Lili Kyrie Elise was born yesterday at 7:30 am, 7 lbs 13 oz, 21 inches long. Very cute! Wife & baby are doing fine. This was the first one of our 5 births that my wife was able to have an epidural. Man, how she wished she would have been able to do it with the others, he he She is a brave woman, but the convenience of not have to go through that much pain would have been better for her IMO. She never made it to the hospital in time on the others to have an epidural. I think this is the last baby anyway, so no biggie. Davy
  20. Hmmm, looking a whole lot better in the second photo!! Patience is a virtue and if you can wait, the deals will keep coming along to put together a cheap, but great car! Of course, this whole process could take 10 years. Ask me how I know... Davy
