  1. I agree---the spacers cuold be swapped from side to side and fit a right hand drive car with no problems. With aluminum parts such as an intake, waterpump, and even heads, the weight increase is nonexistant.
  2. Marcus, HeavyZ is running a Victor-style manifold and 4 barrel....yes, he has a scoop, but at least maybe he could help you by giving you some measurements as to how far up the setup sits at the top of the carb on a worst case scenario; personally, I think he stated that it doesn't stick up too much. Try emailing him. Davy
  3. Tony and Terry, At one point this was encouraged, but was lost in the hubub a week or so later. I have tried to rewrite post topics that just didn't fit with the title or even the forum they originated in, but that gets to be a lot of work (I gave up). I let it slide and what you have left is a large group of titles to topics without any relation that get lost, etc. I think it should be part of the "rules" when you write a topics, it shouldn't say something totally vague or different then what the topic is actually about!!!!
  4. Hah, the bidder didn't get them. I had to pass this time. Richard, I have not seen any Kodiak rims that I truly like, such as the CCWs--just a matter of personal taste of style, not quality. Davy
  5. Yasin, thanks for all the info and the pics! I have a spoiler that I salvaged from a Z track car and want to "update" the look with some sections I cut out from an aftermarket Eclipse spoiler. The durabond will go pretty nicely in the gapped areas, but I do think some fiberglass mat will be better in the backside for strength. Thanks for the tips!! Davy
  6. http://www.classicdatsun.com/new/240_glass.html Do a Google search and you'll be impressed. Davy
  7. Don't give up on this. In CA they issue a form for the owner on the title to sign. If you cannot located him/her after a reasonable search, they'll still issue title. This happened to me, but for some crazy reason, I tracked the guy down through public records. I could have very easily signed the form myself---don't laugh, the lady at DMV looked at me with astonishment when I told her I actually located the guy. She was expecting me to have signed the form myself. She was ready to give me another form to fill out if I didn't have the sig ready. You have to hand it to DMV... Davy
  8. Just to throw anoth possibility into the mix, McMaster Carr has something like generic brown bread/Dynamat that does the same thing and it is cheap. No one says you have to go with a name brand sound deadener like Dynamat to get the same results. Just my $.02. Davy
  9. My dad bought a longblock 327 kit from them and was very happy with it. It was a moderate performance 327 in a '48 Chevy pickup. He drove it hard and didn't have any problems. Not sure about their 383 kits though. Davy
  10. Cripes, those are truly expensive if they are either CCWs or BBSs. I think they are CCWs since I already have some, but I would like some wider ones for the rear of my Z, but I'd have to convert to 5 lug and the front's are 4 lug = strange looking. I suppose I'm dreaming about this since I have CCWs that are 16" x 8"--I just want wider rears at a discount price! Heh, not likely. Thanks for the replies, guys! Davy
  11. Modern-motorsports LTD sells the correct adapters especially made for this thing. http://www.modern-motorsports.com/catalog/advanced_search.php Hope that helps. Davy
  12. Yep, that's the one I was talking about--it had to cut down from an original windshield. Waterjet technology is the coolest thing since sliced bread; being able to cut through thick metal or glass--just about anything using water is sweet!! Is this the same Matt Millen who has a great blue 240Z V8 convertible? Just wondering. Davy
  13. I bought some Sandersons that were the exact same thing (from the pic) from zfan (Mike W.) in TX. I think Mike was using them on his 383Z. I bought them because I was planning to flip them upside down and do the turbo thing, but for now I have them stored. Find zfan's email and ask him--then make the decision based on what he says. I think he wanted a more full length header which is why he dumped the Sandersons, not because he trouble changing plugs, but maybe we should ask him? Davy
  14. I found a set on ebay that are really wide and advertised as BBS wheels!?! Anyway, I was wondering what they would retail for new (ballpark). http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=43958&item=7952831379&rd=1 http://i7.ebayimg.com/02/i/02/ef/58/b5_2.JPG Not sure I did that correctly. Hmmm. Davy
  15. Nah, Mike said that---we just both like Calvin 'Tis a cool project though! Davy
  16. I should buy one for Auxilary's cat! Davy
  17. You can always buy another one if you get the chance. Being a carsales guy is a tough road to take. If you have a decent dealership, great, but don't make it a life's goal!!! My poor wife begged me to leave car sales for five years and I took a big gamble leaving to work for a dot com. Best move I ever made. If you can get into finance there, that would be the job to have. The sales managers make good pay too, but finance is most likely better and you'll learn some serious tricks of the trade. Good luck! Davy
  18. Good to hear you are up and at 'em again. So what exactly do they cut in the surgery? I'm assuming they cut a tendon in the wrist or something like that? I'm happy I don't need that!!!! Davy
  19. Mike, great to hear the kids came out O.K.!!! I thank God I make it home to my kids on occassion, but I shudder to think about when they are able to drive...brrrrr. Davy
  20. I think chances are that you won't be breaking things anymore... Davy
