  1. It is probably not genuine suede, because it just does not wear very well in the real world of automobiles or furniture. I'm thinking it's most likely Alcanterra or something like that. I'd love it for my car interior, especially the seats (no more slipping in the seat around curves and easy to clean). Davy
  2. Well $500 sounds like a lot for all that--is there any way you can get something else in addition to that or get a lower price? I'm a bit cheap, that's all. Still, you might pay more for all the stuff separately. I would have someone knowledgeable first diagnose the car's issues before making the purchase, but that's me. Davy
  3. Gosh, from the pics it looks great! I have some good panels, but my set of bad ones I may do in CF if I can find the time *ugh* Those are custom ones? They look like they have felt in the center, no vinyl. Even so, gotta love 'em. BTW, I like the steering wheel--MOMO, no? Davy
  4. Joel, I do think a 240Z dash cap in CF would sell pretty well. I wish you the best in your endevours! Davy
  5. Yes. My R200 has both and the R180 we had from the Skyline has numerous plugs and thingies. It pays to look! I think I'd like to have both for my rear diffs in general. The drain plug I expect to leak and it doesn't do that at all, even with Redline in the housing. Davy
  6. I'm too lazy to read all that Ewww. I was hoping to get an answer via email. I already have CCWs and just needed center caps. Thanks, Mike! Davy
  7. The seller's description was absolutely crazy-funny! The guy has some real stones to put his comments in print and actually think some local yokel will buy it. Hmmm, I like so much I may buy it Davy
  8. Awesome car. The more I see the LS1 Vettes on the road, the more I think I'd REALLY like owning one. It would make one heck of a commute car for me, although I think the benefit of getting to work faster would be far outweighed by the negative of getting tickets Davy
  9. I think this is a fairly common exercise in high school. My brother's English class did these kinds of things with hilarious results This was a great read--thanks, Aux! Davy
  10. Dan, the car keeps looking better and better the more of it that I can see. Props to you for keeping the rest of the car 'hidden' from all of us! Yes, it does make us want to come out and see it in person! Davy
  11. Is it new? Was it built properly? Which Edelbrock parts? Forged or cast pistons? Stock bottom end? How many miles? Davy

    Intro...

Welcome to the board! Nice ride! I like those Toyotas, but I'm more partial to RWD myself. I'm too poor for a Supra Davy
  13. Man, it can happen. Just glad it happened to you Seriously, I'll come out and play as soon as the V8 conversion is finished. Pssst, don't tell anyone but the preliminary bodywork is finished and all I have to do it pay them and I got's me car back Davy
  14. I know he probably didn't spend $500K on parts, but he did spend a bunch of money making that car... Nice work! Davy
  15. I have the utmost respect for him and his ability to get more done on his car with a tighter budget, older kids, less time, no 'conversion manual', and a small space to work in. Also, his posts are pretty darn witty usually Cheers, Jeromio Davy
  16. Not to steal the thread, but DAN, THAT CAR IS THE BOMB! I can't wait to see it in person Davy
  17. It's just a matter of preference. Do what you think is best. I have seen red crinkle finish that I thought was cool; black is fine too. I am partial to Cermakrome because I like shiny objects Davy
  18. I totally like the concept car. Just wait until they start selling thousands of them--I'm sure that market will love them. Since the Miata (reminicent of old British sports cars) and most especially the New Beetle, the other car companies have finally taken notice and are starting to see the potential of retro design cars. Why? Because they sell. I for one think they look great in general. The Ford GT 40 is nearly the same exterior design as the old car because it is simply one of the best racing designs ever made on a car IMO. Apparently some of the engineers and designers think the same way as I do. Hopefully GM will do something cool to the Camaro... Davy
  19. Kevin' date=' you may have to save them to your personal picture gallery and have HybridZ host them (they have to be hosted by [i']some[/i] server in order to be visible to everyone. Never use your own server... Davy
  20. Thanks for the good links--they have good pics and are basic in their descriptions; just what I need! Gracias, Davy
  21. I totally agree with this--even gloss black will also look cool and match the glossy green paint as well. Do what RacerX tells you to do. Davy
  22. Jim, one more thing I was thinking about: do the flares go down about the same level as the original fender lips? I'm hoping they do so you won't get that hi-boy look if you welded them too high. From the looks of things, it appears that you have done it correctly, but the wheels are not on, so it is difficult to tell. Just wondering. Davy
