  1. Ross, I figure you can sue the guy for trashing your car, yes? I know insurance is supposed to cover it, but that guy should pay more!!! Not to mention some serious jail time. Grand theft auto, reckless driving, etc. Let us know what happens. I seriously hope he gets it BIGTIME. Davy
  2. If you're a Sophomore, I guess you'd be in organic chemistry right? In either O-chem or Inorganic, learn what you can on making "things" with the chemicals you are allowed to play with. The extracurricular actvity is fun, you'll learn a whopping amount more, and you may accidentally blow yourself up in the process--what fun!! Ah, I remember chemistry.... Davy
  3. You've done it again!! Your talent blows me away. Extremely nice work *again* Terry!! Davy
  4. Ouch. The stuff sounds great but sounds a bit pricey. There was a thread from waaaay back that talked about a similar product from sound domain.com. I forgot what the name pf the product was, but you could spread it like paste or spray it(?) and it came in five gallon buckets if you wanted, both waterproof and otherwise. Just something to think about. Davy
  5. Your choice in piston mfgs sound right--you don't want to skimp on this motor! I doubt you'll go wrong with a Grumpy recommendation. You'll post pics???? Please say yes Davy
  6. Scottie, I do hope you will stick around despite the change. I know where you are coming from, but I want a V8 240Z before moving on to something else. You've had that car for ages, so maybe something more refined is better for you in the long run. Please stick around and share the knowledge (and the love ). Davy

    Comedy relief

Last one is best!! Makes me wish we had them for thieves... Davy
  8. It's amazing what MSA's body kit for the ZX does to the car. I love the way it looks Davy
  9. Beautiful pictures, Aux! Even with your camera, they still look great. Imagine what you could do with an SLR (?). Davy
  10. John, I have seen pics of your car in the past and I still think it is a model of perfection. I love the low stance and the amount of detail you put into the motor--almost looks Italian!!! Was this Mark's (Z-Dreamer) motor? It'll be killer in your car. Man, what a weight savings. Blows me away. You'll have to change springs for sure, but what a small price to pay for the ultimate engine. Nice score! Davy
  11. I thought the Saint Christopher on the dash was a nice departure until I realized it was an Obiwan figure.... Davy
  12. Welcome to the forum, Toysport. The answers to your inquiries can be found deep within the bowels of the Chevy forum. In other words, bro, use the search function. However, to steer you in the right direction, you can swap any year of V8 into your Z so long as it is the same year or newer as your 280Z. You must comply with CA smog laws, so this rule is manditory. For easy reference on how to go about the swap, buy the JTR manual from http://www.jagsthatrun.com and read it over a few times. That will set the stage for a comprehensive outline of the necessary steps involved. As for the driveshaft, the JTR manual will cover that, and as for the diff, the 280Z comes with an R200 that is plenty strong to cover most V8s. Again, that is covered here in the forum and the JTR book. The wiring harness depends on what year of 350 you'll be using, whether carbed or EFI. If you go EFI, use EVERYTHING from the donor vehicle. Search the forums for nuggets of gold and download them. Davy
  13. Yep. And as was suggested earlier, Sunnyvale would be the town of choice among those listed--lowest crime and surrounded by fairly decent cities. Nothing wrong with Fremont except that it sits very close to Hayward... (sorry to the Hayward guys ) Davy
  14. By "regular" SBC, do you mean "carbed?" The LT1 was (is) one heck of a fuel injected motor. It flows better and makes more power then the TPI motors. Also, there are a lot of performance parts for LT1's. They have the standard SBC mounting points, so they can be JTR positioned easily. The '95 LT1 was the last(?) year before OBDII and has a sealed Optispark. That's my next motor unless the LS1's come way down in price. Davy
  15. This can be a very touchy HR issue and the company can get sued if this is not handled in the proper way, believe it or not. If the guy is getting complaints about BO or some medical problem (there can be many that make one wreak), it must be addressed by management properly. He can't go around stinking up the place if it affects his co-workers. I'm VERY happy I don't have to deal with that crap Davy
  16. Spacers. Call or email Ross C at http://www.modern-motorsports.com He can make spacers for you cheaper then the adapters, which apparently you don't need. Davy
  17. Congrats!! Glad you finally found a good place. 2 car garage??? Davy
  18. Not that I am aware of. That was a prototype from what I have heard in the past and it was not put into production due to possible liability issues. That is strictly through the grapevine---if you contact the owner, I'm sure he'll tell you more. Davy
  19. Scarab-style conversion and looks like it has been reasonably taken care of. Certainly not a show car, but it does not have a show car price, at least for the time being. $3000-$4000 and that is the extent of what I would pay for such a car, especially one needing paint as this one does according to him. Mechanically it seems to be ok and it has very little rust, if any. Good luck. Davy
  20. Years ago my dad ordered a complete long block kit for his Chevy Apache pickup. He had no complaints and I remembered all the parts were great, machine work was good too. No complaints and a very strong V8 engine to boot. Davy
  21. Such an awesome looking car! I really like the quality of work that went into the beast. I can't wait to see it painted!!!!! Davy
  22. It's not fair. So tell me, if the guy does some other thing, like get drunk and disorderly in a public park, they lock him up for 30 years because he happens to be rich??? Stupid scale to be sure. Davy
  23. Cool videos! Thanks for sharing them Your driving looks great and so does the car, especially from the track. The film footage was very well done Davy
