Hi Guys, I never thought I would be in this position but I need help. I am helping a friend of mine getting his LS1 engine running. The engine doesn't have MAF sensor, radiator and O2 sensors and it won't start. It has sparks and fuel pressure but the PCM not sending pulses to the injectors. I disabled the VATs system from the PCM. I took the PCM and hooked it to another LS1 swap car and it ran so it's not the PCM. It's something missing from the engine and prevent the PCM from sending signal to the injectors. If anyone of you have started your LS1 engine up in similar condition please let me know. Thanks Vinh

The ECU connectors on the 300ZXT and the 280ZXT are the same type. These are famous for not making good contacts over time which causes all kind of running issues. Clean up the connectors real good and put conductive grease in the connectors. Good luck

They are both go directly to the PCM and controlled by the PCM. Are you trying to use another alternator and want to know how to hook it up to these 2 wires?

Visit a few web sites from a few people who have done the swap and ask questions. Different people have different amount money into their Ls1 swaps. It also depends on whether you do the work or you hire someone else. For a starter I suggest you to keep it simple. Buy a complete and solid Z and drop the LS1 in and enjoy driving it. Email M1noel on here for the cost on his swap. Sometime I wish I took his route so I can enjoy driving my Z. Good luck NESS89, You got a heck of a deal for your LS1/T56 Combo.

The header will fit on the block since it is made for the L6 motor. The only difference is it is for the RHD Z. So some sheet metal modification might be required to fit. Much easier to modify sheet metal then the header anyway.

I have an 81 ECU laying around in my garage.

Both of the above headers are sold. My friend from Japan is coming to the US to visit me in November. He can get a few headers to bring with him. If you are still looking for one shoot me an email. I will ask my friend to start looking. No disrespect, but if you don't want to pay at least $550 for the header please don't bother to contact me.

The driver side header will not give you any problem. However it's all depends on how far and how low you set your motor. The steering shaft may get interfered with the left motor mount or possibly the alternator. You will also need to cut the square boss on the engine on the right side of the header in the last picture. Your driver side header will hit that boss.

Hold your horse on ordering the JTR headers mister. You will be sorry if you did. The JTR headers won't work with the C5 mounts you have there.

Looking good. Sorry I didn't have time to get the measurements for my new crossmember for you. Mine is a 77 280Z anyway so there might be some differences. It's best for you to do the mock up and decide to where to put the engine, then build your own crossmember. Just make sure you don't drill holes into the frame rails like I did. Randy, Boat is new to me. I will definitely PM you about the boat motor. This thing has a 2 strokes 40 HP. Eventually I want a little more HP and a 4 strokes. But for now it will be good enough. I will definitely PM you to get more info about the boat motor. This is a very nice kit. However there is no room for the floor. I am 5'5" and I sat on the floor without the seats and my head is almost touches the roof. I have too many projects so I think this kit car has to go very soon. The boat is now sitting in the parking spot for my topless ZX. So the topless ZX has to go to a dirty garage to sit. I am thinking of selling the topless too since I will be spending more time on the boat. Davy, Do you have any more info on this body kit? I would like to find out more info on it before putting it on Ebay. Johnny, Yes it's a daytona coupe kit but not the FF Cobra. I have 3 of them in this same garage.

Got a couple of new toys last week. This is a 16' Starcraft aluminum boat with a 40HP Mercury motor. I just took it out to the river today and it ran good. and this This kit is sitting on an old corvette frame. It would be nice if I can fit it on a Z. This kit is all fiberglass and there is no support on the roof. So it is illegal to drive it the way it is. If I can fit it on a Z it should be OK. I don't know I will ever have time to work on this thing. So I am thinking of selling it. Let me know if someone interest in buying this kit and put it on a Z.
