  1. Any new news? Thinking of picking some up to paint an undented hood for the 280zxt. If it goes well, I might paint my 280z with it. Mario
  2. Love the front and rear! I think the hinge is like a helix. The door goes out, the back up, and the front down. Insanely awesome, but complicated. Mario
  3. Last I heard MJP Auto wasn't shipping over here, or didn't really want to. I think the originals were from NZ or somewhere in Japan. If you don't mind the body work, showcars unlimited I think might have a copy, or had... I've seen some of their parts and fit is as bad as people say, if not worse. Frank280zx has one from MJP and IIRC he said fit wasn't the greatest. Mario
  4. I was looking around and the price isn't all that bad for the engine... Looks sweet! Mario
  5. Shift forks might be misaligned. This can happen from the input shaft getting hit, or the tranny sitting on it. Mario
  6. From the MegaManual: " Set the EGO switch point to a value between 0.45-0.50 volts with a narrow band O2 sensor. With a wide-band sensor, set it at 2.50 volts (DIY-WB, others may differ). These values will attempt to give stoichiometric mixtures under closed loop operation. Note that MegaSquirt will convert these values to binary numbers, so when you "fetch" the values back from MegaSquirt, they are converted back and may change slightly." There you go, Mario
  7. I thought switchpoint was the voltage where lower is either rich or lean and vice versa... Haven't kept up on MS much now... damn car left me stranded today (coil problem... not MS). Mario
  8. Yea... probably... but who cares' date=' go Mexico! [img']http://images.askmen.com/imagessexsymbol/selmahayek/salma_hayek_151c.jpg[/img] Mario
  9. It's really similar to LeMans Sunset for the 350z. 280z Tuner and bubbleguinea have very similar colored Zs. Mario
  10. Wow! Awesome! I think the current intake manifold is what's holding it back now, but it seems like you have that covered =) Mario
  11. There's a G35 in japan running either the VQ45 or the VK45, don't remember which... Turbo'd too, I think it was a Top Secret or other well known shop. Mario
  12. One of my dad's friends in New Mexico had a VW bug with an elongated front and a Jag V12 under the hood if I remember correctly.... Mario
  13. It's a W16 for a reason, not a V16. A V16 wouldn't fit under the Veyron. $120,000 will probably buy maybe an acre of land out in the boonies here (thank you kalifornians...). I'd much rather buy a TVR Sagaris and have $50k left to invest and to dump in my Z..... I would like to hear how it sounds though.... Mario
  14. It seems that this is what you were referring too..... If it's way off on one side I guess I'll pull them off and recheck. It doesn't state the brand used, but it seems like it could happen in any shocks.... I just want to drive the damn thing already.... Mario
  15. Yea, we were thinking about getting camber bushings and just putting them on the front of the suspension arm, and put rubber bushings, maybe urethane would also work, in the rear and adjust toe that way. Car seems to be pretty toe'd in in the rear, and in the front my tie rods might not be long enough to run 2.5* of camber up front and the right toe since we repositioned them on the cross member. Need to double check it though, but it should be fully dialed in next week, with or without the rear bar. If S/T keeps this $h!t up I'm gonna return it to Summit. Thanks for the responses, Mario
  16. This is all for a 78 280z, so slotting the towers will allow for camber adjustment. Also, all the pics were take with the car set on wooden blocks to put load on the suspension. The only time the angle would get better would be when the suspension is bottoming out. Any other time and the angle would be worse. How do you get toe adjustment for the rear of a 280z? Mario
  17. To get a front lip or not?? Stock bodied bumperless 78 280z. Thing to keep in mind: 3in of ground clearance at the frame rails... Thoughts? Mario
  18. Well... S/T is really dragging their feet on this problem. I should have an answer on Monday supposedly.... Here are pics of what I was talking about: http://album.hybridz.org/showgallery.php?ppuser=12144&cat=500 But wow, drove the car today without the rear bar and it is so awesome. Still need the car aligned, gonna run a nice amount of neg camber, a proven amount of toe in the front, and I'm gonna slot the rear shock towers for camber in the rear. Right now ALL bushings have been replaced with the urethane ones, once the sway bar issue is resolved in the back, the car has gotten new sway bars, and the car looks menacing being so low. I'm gonna have to get a new exhaust (something more tucked up) and learn how to drive all over again with 3" of ground clearance to the frame rails.... Can't wait! Mario
