  1. Pretty sure it's 265cc for turbo injectors, and 188cc for the non turbo... but they're so old who knows now.... http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/injectors/index.html Mario
  2. I believe it is based on an Elise chassis, and I think the motor is in the back. Mario
  3. I believe stock fuel pressure is 36 psi. Stock timing is 10* At least I think it is.... this really should be in passed posts.... Mario
  4. I've heard only good things from this product, but on their website they say it can be used as base, and then coated with their own clear coat that is specially made for it for a glossy finish, but is not required (it dries to a satin finish, but can be cleared with almost any automotive primer for gloss). But there in lies my problem... I know of no one that's done this.... And about the U Pol clear, again... nothing but good things, but I've only found it in a spray can.... This is definately a budget job so I can buy more go fast goodies and I'm in desperate need of tires, not a show stopper! Thanks for the responses, Mario
  5. I would check first. I think some 77s came with them factory, my 78 did. They all bolt up, and are either used from 77-83 or 78-83. What is good about them is that they draw a lot less current when cranking the car. Mario
  6. If you have it wired up like in the sticky with the 4 pin HEI, MS should NOT be controlling dwell. If I recall correctly, 4 pin HEI modules have some sort of dwell control built in. Mario
  7. An aerosol can primer for the entire car? Any tips to ensure total coverage/thickness?
  8. Well.... my dad is willing to help me get my car painted before school and I've been reading Zero Rust's page and they say it can be used as a base and they offer their own clear for it. Has anybody thought/done this before? Long story short the massive amount of rain has seeped into the car causing electrical problems, my dad is willing to chip in for weather stripping if it is going to get painted. But I don't know how nice I want it yet... if I were to get an awesome paint job I'd be afraid to track it... which was the whole point of this car... Full paint I've been quoted is about $2-3k with body work, ~4 coats color 3 clear. I can paint Zero Rust Myself and it's about $200 in supplies.... Thoughts, ideas, suggestions?? Mario
  9. Normal price in the junkyards I've seen is ~$100. Half price on special days Mario
  10. I believe people on Zcar.com have... try checking there. Mario
  11. Looking good! What are the wheels on it now? I've never seen them before.... Mario
  12. Hmm... new merit to the word Stealership. Da-dump.... chzzz! Mario
  13. Check the TPS as well. Also the stock POV will go off at like 8psi, it needs to be shimmed/removed/replaced to run more boost. Mario
  14. If you're gonna use MS on such an early Z, it is my understanding that the EFI harness is completely independant of the chassis wiring. What I'm gonna do for my 280z is pull it all out and make my own or buy the RS-Auto one for MS. Then use the EZ Wiring one for the chassis. You can't get cleaner then that.... well.. unless you run carbs. Mario
  15. I had wire wheels that fit but I sold them to fund this project. Mario
  16. If there's any left count me in! Mario
  17. I don't think the 280z's have that. Does anyone know if that part is easily interchangeable? There is a 240z in the junkyard I could take it from. Mario
  18. Ok, it seems like the bar was defective, and they sent a new bar! Got here today!!! (The guy said "I can't believe that thing made it through quality control... it was really off.") So, I have this and hopefully (fingers crossed) twice pipes and 3 into 2 headers comming. I think I'm staying NA. The car supercedes my skill to drive it at it's current state anyways. Mario
  19. It seems to be rear crossmember and gas tank differences FYI. Mario
  20. I hate the Checkers, NAPA, Pep Boys etc here. Wanna stump them? Ask for an HEI module that's going in a Datsun (what's a Datsun???). The best guys here are a local franchise of Carquest Auto. When I was shopping around for fuel pump prices, I called them up and ask for parts for a 76 Nissan 280z. His response: "Mario, is that you? How's the Z running?" He has sold me many parts at or right above wholesale, great guys to deal with. Like the fuel pump, Bosch unit at the price of the cheapies. Mario
  21. Why is it that twice pipes won't fit 280z's as well/tucked as 240z's?? Do they have another notch in the rear crossmember? Mario
  22. Nice car! But... the seats would be killer in a Z haha Mario
  23. The original is mechanical, so it doesn't even send pulses. I beleive a 240sx electronic sender can be used on the tranny, try looking up the specs on that, or ask Dakota Digital if they know. Mario
