  1. TVR might have nice interiors, but they are supposedly not driver centered at all. Most things are placed in awkward places according to Top Gear. I love the Zonda's interior. I mean look at the instrument panel: It's just awesome! Mario
  2. The miss/hiccup can actually be caused by your overly rich conditions. What are your spark plugs gapped at? Mario
  3. Why not go KA-t? They get some nice numbers with pretty low boost. Mario
  4. What's wrong with using the old CAS and the original turbo dizzy? Mario
  5. If I remember they also say the moon landings were staged. Mario
  6. Looks like we're getting a new project car... My mom fell in love with the Datsun Fairlady roadsters (Mother's Day present??), and we have a line on a few of them. Dad wants a winter project car because I'm gonna be working on my 280z all summer to drive it to college the next year. I've gone to 311s.org and read their buyers guide, and it seems that their 1.6L engines are better then the 2L, in that they are a little more bulletproof and rebuilds don't caused an arm or a leg, maybe a hand though.... So far the ones we've looked at have already been rebuilt, so that should last us quite a bit, but the general idea between my dad and I is that as soon as it craps out, we're doing an engine swap (KA24 maybe?). Most that we've seen are fairly rust free, or the rust has already been taken care of at some point. So a few questions: 1. How's body parts availability? 2. It seems that parts are getting phased out, and that brake rebuilds are pricey, but there are a few swaps to newer components. How about parts availability in general? 3. How are the carbs on these cars? Carb rebuilds? Adapters? 4. Are electrical gremlins common? This would be a summer around the city kind of car. Ideas? Thoughts? Suggestions? Mario
  7. I don't think it takes an expert to tell its a replica..... The proportions look way off, but still, pretty cool work. Mario
  8. Dude, this is old news. I was gonna buy a roadster project from them that was advertised, this was like august of last year, and by then they were already crushed..... Mario
  9. http://www.lumenition.com/ Pricey but I believe they bolt on to the weber manifold. Two styles, throttle plate and roller throttle bodies. Mario
  10. I hope it isn't pay to play... Awesome concept, thats for sure. Mario
  11. Wheels and color look sweet! Fix the air dam Congrats, Mario
  12. They have it in Cali and in some pumps in AZ. I don't like the looks, but man, they said windtunnel testing top speed of 273 mph?!?!? Mario
  13. That's exactly what I'm afraid will happen. The NA ZX has already seen quite a few battle scars from her driving, but my dad wants us to have 1 less car... I don't know what to do.... Mario
  14. Well... my dad fell in love with early Z cars.... He enjoys driving my STOCK 280z with absolutely worn suspension more then my modified ZXT (he has been driving my ZXT while I'm in college for a few months now)! So guess what he did?? He sold his SUV (94 Isuzu Trooper) and now wants an early Z car bad! Problem is... well... my sister drives my OLD 280zx NA, and if we were to get another Z, it would go, and she'd be left with my modded 280ZXT... this is one of the problems.... So what do people do with 97% rust free ZX shells? I'd love to swap out my engine in my 280z and drop in the turbo motor, MSnS, IC and all the other crap I have for it, then let my dad get another 280z and drop in my rebuilt L28e into it (500 miles on it so far...). Or what would you do? My dad wants an early Z that requires little/no suspension work and looks decent, not show or anything, but not in dire need of paint either. Apparently if its in good shape, he's up to flying to Cali or the other neighboring states and driving it back home. Ideas? Recomendations? Junk the ZXT? Keep the ZXT? Arrrrrrrrghh..... my head hurts..... Mario
  15. Just search on showcars as stated above. Some people get parts, some don't, and a local person that got a g-nose from them took a LOTS of hours to get the damn thing to look and fit right. Mario
  16. Stock 3 speed auto no mods was getting me 18mpg. With a 5 speed manual and an aftermarket ECU you can probably hit 30mpg on the highway. Mario
  17. The BioDiesel project car that was sold on eBay like a year ago was a 240z that looked like it had yellow flames in the front but was indeed a flower. it was a turbo'd LD28, and was creating some pretty healthy torque at low boost levels. If I remember correctly all the turbo parts except the j-pipe probably bolt right up. Matched with a correct tranny and diff I bet you could get some great fuel mileage. Mario
  18. Same in some other 300ZX websites. They say they never flow what they're supposed to. I guess if you have them cleaned and flow matched you wouldn't have a problem. Mario
  19. They sell a high pressure spring I believe. The limit now is the cast pistons and the harmonic balancer. The balancer needs to be inspected, and JeffP has some mods for the bolt and washer. There isn't a substitute for a BHJ damper compared to even the euro one. They all seem to fail under repetitive high rpms use. Mario
  20. I'm not a fan of that body style but looks sweet none-the-less. Nice red. Mario
  21. Get rid of the back bumper to finish of the look! Looks sweet! Mario
