  1. Thanks a lot for the pictures. So yours is actually above the lip? Did you cut off the lower tabs to do that? I don't think mine will clear the hood unless the bottom tabs are cut off or unless if they are underneath the lower cross support. Can you post a picture from the front of the car so I can see the height relative to the lower cross member? Thanks again, Mario
  2. If you do get it done, can you post pics of the outcome and an approximate price? Thanks, Mario
  3. Thanks for the suggestions, but I think I may have figured out a way to be able to run both pipes outside the engine bay. Just in case, AnTmanS130T. can I have more pics, like of your brackets (especially the lower ones). Slownrusty, I already answered you in a PM this moring My positioning as of now will require cutting of the front lip, but that OK. I will post pics ASAP because I need help designing good solid brackets. It is also angled like slownrusty's install, and the bottom is at the level of the lower cross member. I will be running ABS pipe for tubing for a mockup, once they are glued and in place, I will be taking them to a shop to replicate them probably out of steel. Thanks, Mario
  4. Wow! Congrats on the purchase, it too is one of my favorite Porsches. 410 hp should be great on a road course. Have fun, Mario
  5. What type of clamps are you using? Can you post pics of where its leaking? If its at the body I have (I think) 4 spare NA injectors. Mario
  6. I think you might be over tightening them. Are you cracking where the they sit on the manifold or where they are held on in place by the insulators? Mario
  7. I didn't know whether to put this in the Tech section or in car talk. I decided car talk so that some of the people who have custom fitted ICs, but don't have a 1st and 2nd gens would see it and comment as well. I have the large Isuzu NPR, which I know has been installed in Zs and ZXs. I have a ZX, and these are the only photographed installs I can find: Rated's Datsun: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/318371/4 http://www.cardomain.com/ride/318371/5 Slownrusty's: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=84737 The least intrusive install is slownrusty's, but his large NPR has different end tanks and mounting points then mine: Mine: slownrusty's: Rated's install says that after all the cutting he did, he felt front end flex, probably from cutting the top radiator support. Any ideas or other installs? Should I cut off the top and lower tabs on mine and have come up with another way of holding it? Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Mario
  8. Can you post pics? If you know what each pin goes to, I can't see a reason why you couldn't solder on your own connector and make your own cables. mario
  9. I did not run hard line to the tranny. A 6ft line was almost exactly the same length as the stock one. I mounted it to the firewall using the stock rubber mounts. I will then be running a rubber clutch line to the slave cylinder. Except for the last bend, it looks almost factory. Mario
  10. I thought Turbo injectors were 260cc's. Mario
  11. This thing was on Top Gear and it was amazing!!! Mario
  12. Well, I'm up in Flagstaff. Mack, 280zone and 1 fast Z are in Phoenix I believe, as well as a bunch of others. Places not to go with pro-bush stickers: Sedona (crystal hugging hippies) and Flagstaff (just plain hippies). Have fun in the heat. Mario
  13. A Cobra should never need the roof on. If its gonna rain, put it in the garage. hmm No clue.... almost looks like the front tires are bigger then the rear. Mario
  14. Thanks a lot for the answers. This might become my next project. I believe megasquirt can control water/methanol injection too. Mario
  15. And here: http://www.gixxerkart.com/ Mario
  16. Link doesn't work, try here: http://www.milkandcookies.com/links/17533/ It is insane!
  17. I can't find it where it said about the knock sensor, but it would make sense to me because the stock ecu goes into a preprogrammed fuel map for anything above 3.5k rpms. I think it would do the same for timing, as these maps are for "max power" Mario
  18. When I came across the procar (cheap) reverse glow gauge overlays, I went searching for way to make the needles glow. It turns out that those led needle kits are pricey. I think it was in the neighborhood of $75 for just 3 needles! Would look cool though. Another idea is uv reactive paint, and have some kind of uv light (maybe el wire?) around the gauge face. It would react with the paint on the needle and make it glow (in theory). Mario
  19. The u-joints are not replaceable, I found this out cuz I'm stuck on my 5 speed swap. I am having a local guy that is gonna take my two driveshafts and make them into one. He said he can take out the u-joints and replace them with serviceable ones. I also concluded this from past posts. But I live in a small town, and the guy works out of his barn. It will be probably around twice as much as what the people from big cities have said it costs. Apparently, look anywhere from $70 to $150. Hope that helps, Mario
  20. Nah give it to me, I'm closer and I can go at a wims notice. j/k That would be a really cool project, but if I wanted one, there are plenty of 510s and roadsters in Phoenix. Mario
  21. Since this thread might have been resurrected, I have a few questions to ask: 1. I heard that water corrodes efi L series intake manifolds 2. You run the sprayer before the turbo right? Doesn't that waste away the turbine (heard this too)? 3. If you have an intercooler, do you still run the sprayer before the turbo? Just curious, Mario
  22. Stock knock sensor is also deactivated around 3500 rpms and up I believe. Mario
