    Maybe 2 different springs? When I built mine I used a pen spring and it held 10psi, but that's why I don't know if it would work or not for higher boost. Do you have a pic of the turnbuckle? Mario

    You want it to put more pressure on the spring, as this makes it more difficult for the wastefate to open, thus more boost. There is a limit to the spring though, that's why you can buy a stiffer wastegate spring. I dunno if these would work for high boost, but what about a spring from a pen? There are wide varieties out there..... Mario

    On a s30 it runs under the diff so it would matter. I think you can get away with 3", maybe more, just get a good fabricator to really tuck it up nice and tight, and be careful with slopes and speed bumps. Mario

    DON'T USE THAT WIRING SCHEMATIC! I looked at the ones only for v3 on megasquirt.info and it is DIFFERENT! There are some issues you need to address, I sent you an e-mail. I think you are one of the first v3 MS Z people, take it slow, don't rush it, you might end up burning the MS board if you do! (I speak from experience) Mario

    You may be able to find them new. Courtesy Nissan just sold out a few months ago, and won't be getting any more (IIRC). I'm sure some one sells them online. I can't remember the exact price, but I think it was >$150. They are made of rubber/plastic unlike the MSA fibergalss ones. And they ARE functional too. Mario

    There are programmer kits for them. Unless you are buying the chips blank, its probably easier/cheaper to buy them pre-programmed. They are like $10-15. Mario

    I have been told basicly the same thing, and I'm doing it on my rebuilt 280z. I did a 5 speed swap from an auto, so I can hit ~40 mph in first, which really means I need to fix the brakes and the steering before continuing with the break in. Mario

    They are called injector holders or injector insulators. Most parts stores should have them, I know locally that Autozone here does..... Mario

    Overlap is bad for turbo's if I understand it right..... but I'm not a guru. There's people pushing high numbers on the stock cam. Mario

    The last two renders look sick! But... It looks more like a first gen with wide b-pillar trim on the second to last one. The hood and rear remind me a lot of the new TVRs. Looks nice, Mario

    On my L28, the Haynes manual says 100ft-lbs. I'm not sure if that's the same for the L20. Mario

    8.5:1 isn't too high to turbocharge, you get the off boost response of an NA car with the added bonus of boost. I have also been told that flat top pistons and the P90 head make an excellent quench design, again, really good for turbo charging. This is going to be the setup I build when I have time/money/no school. Mario PS I believe Pallnet is running this with SDS with great results.

    Actually, I need to talk to him anyways, he was parting out a ZX, and I need a door (my mom backed into mine). Bad thing is I leave in a little over a week for college. He's got a sweet motor, but he said he wants to get into LSR, so he's working on aerodynamics and will be dropping in a nice v8 last I heard. Mario

    He does have a bad rep, but apparently he is still in business. A local Z guy just got his g-nose for a 240z from him, but some say it can take months to get your orders. I haven't seen that kit actually put on, but I've always been interested in it. Mario

    When is it spiking? I know on some of my home made MBCs, drilling a tiny vent hole helped a lot. I did this to the first one I made because it would spike if I was in high revs then suddenly punched it, but didn't if I started down low in the rpm range. I don't think the hose diameter really matters for the very short runs you should be doing for the MBC. Unless it's WAY too small. Mario
