I've looked through the FSM, my Haynes manual and searched forums on multiple sites. I can't identify this part on top of the thermostat housing and where the hoses are supposed to be attached. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello all, I have searched low and high to no avail. I am upgrading to a 280zx alternator in my 75 280. I was following the diagram below and carried out with the white to yellow but had noticed that my volage regulator did not have the specified green and red. It appears that the pin hole of the voltage regulator for the G/R was capped from the factory. So I am hoping that there are some guys here that have figured something out for the 75s that could help me finish this up? Thank you in advance... Connect 1-5 (lamp to windings common) green&red to white&black Connect 2-3 (+12V to Sense) white to yellow

I am going back in with all my suspension and have come to the realization that I do not know if I should use the gland nut washers on my car. The whole reason I pulled it apart was to get rid of the clunk I had and after some digging around I found that the whole thing might be due to the gland nuts not being tight or the use of the washer that came with the Tokico blues I installed a few years ago any help would be great. car info : 1975 280z , Tokico hp blues,(( msa? lowering springs just being installed)) Thanks ! So I figured I'd start a build thread for my Z. I am most definitely a newbie, so any and all tips, comments, and criticisms are very welcome. Here's a list of the cars I've owned. 89 240sx 91 240sx 90 240sx 90 300zx TT 97 A4 2.8 quattro 68 mustang fastback 74 MG midget So as far as my car history, I've had quite a few of running projects (minus the fastback). That being said... None have scared me quite as much as the 280z. The reason is I'd like to do the LS1/T56 combo in it. I'm in Texas and there is a shop in Fort Worth ( Larry's Speed and Custom) that will put the engine and tranny in and set up the AC and power steering for $5K. I will have to source and purchase the engine myself. It starts to hit the wallet pretty hard, all at once. I was also thinking of a 302, then finding someone to do the welding/fab work for me. I don't have the equipment and I would be afraid of ruining this car. Anyway... Here are some photos. Gotta love the two sided Paint. It's really rust free and fun to drive as it sits. Now I just need to figure out which engine I'm gonna do. soon I will have some webisodes on youtube of the build/ownership of the Z. If nothing else, I should have fun. Cheers.

Hi Everyone, Long time reader first time poster. I have been looking rather exhaustively in my home country (Australia) for an original condition dash harness including lower console harness, radio harness and hazard light harness & switch to suit my 1975 260Z (280Z for you guys). Here is a photo of the harnesses that I'm after: From what I can find online any LHD 280Z harness should be suitable for my needs but my preference would be for harnesses out of a 1975 280Z if possible for continuity sake. I can pay in cash or I have a spare pair of 260/280Z "Euro" tail lights in good condition (with wiring) I could trade as a part exchange. Parts for these cars are becoming extremely hard to come by over here so any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm pretty desperate! Thanks, Alex
