77 Blule 280z
Will L28 N42 head 240Z head work on a 280z head? Found this head and want to see if it will work on a 280? http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/pts/2531792883.html And is this a good deal? rossman
It has cut outs for injectors...so yes it will work on a 280z. It is a 280z head. Edited August 12, 2011 by rossman
johnc
Your engine only needs one cylinder head. Putting a N42 head on top of a 280Z head won't work. BTW... the N42 head is a 280Z head.

BluDestiny
Get it. I've sold N42 heads in worse shape than that for $150.

yhlz
Do more reading. It depends on where you want your compression to be and depends on the setup you want. Edited August 12, 2011 by yhlz
neotech84
There are plenty of people that have no idea what's in their cars. Especially when there are 3 differen models with different options ect. on a similar shell. I had a guy sell me what he called a 260 motor but the picture clearly had a fuel injected intake. So I get there and it's a L28 and I walk out with it for 30$..... Not bad. This is why YOU need to know your car and a general breakdown of year/ model specific parts. Tony D
My N42 Head doesn't have Injector Cutouts, it is an N42 CEDRIC head. The other N42 with the injector cutouts... it is an N42 GLORIA head. Where does this 280Z head you guys have come from? Is it high performance? Is there something special about the N42 280Z head? Where can I get one failing sniping the one off the Craiglist advert? BTW, that N42 Cedric head, it's been 17-21psi boosted since 1985...
