wheee!
Good luck! Took almost two years for me to find one in Canada... there are companies that make aluminum replacements but I can’t remember the names. Florida I think.
jhm
Did you also post on FB? (There's someone there also looking for same years tank). I saw one recently for sale on my local CL: https://norfolk.craigslist.org/pts/d/newport-news-datsun-280z-gas-tank/6862346333.html. Good luck with it. Zetsaz
ZFever makes the aluminum replacements. Ross's SleeperZ thread has a section towards the end where he talks about his experience with it. Didn't seem worth it for the price he paid.

A 240 tank would work fine too because I'm 85% sure I'm going to put a surge tank in anyway so having the baffles or larger flow may not be as necessary. Good luck with it. I did not. I think people with carbed cars like them because they come baffled from the factory so it's easier to convert to EFI.
madkaw
My buddy owns a 77 and a 78 I think , don’t know if they are different
Zetsaz
77-78 was a completely different tank due to the change to a space saver spare tire.
