savageskaterkid
i would love a civic like that, cuz it doesn't look ricey, and its got power, i can't stand civics, but that is the ****.

patzky1
I'd take it even though it's not my preference to have to spin to 9K for 800hp, but whatever works. Definetly comes alive at about 5.5k, huh? Geeze, by that time mine is already out of breath. Pat
BrandonsZ
Hmmm... 1.8L Honda Powered Z... Sorry. I was overcome with stupidity. But awsome engine perf. I wonder if he rebuilds it after every run like a top fuel dragster?
Guest goldraven
If it was given to me I'd drive it, wouldn't buy it though. Nick
Michael
Could some one please post links to sites featuring Honda Civics that have been converted to RWD? An 800 hp engine just cries out for such a conversion. Im sure that some one has done this before. Unless... would a RWD conversion violate the Honda religion? dr_hunt
The problem with ricers is that the rest of the drivetrain doesn't hold up. Which is why NHRA told them "If you can make them get down the track witout oiling it, then your in, otherwise, your out"
Guest bastaad525
I think most people who would say "yeah I would drive that car on the street" really have no idea what they are talking about... Come on... 800whp??? yeah lots of fun... floor the gas, wait some number of seconds before anything even happens... BOOM traction is instantly gone and you're isntantly bouncing off the rev limiter while destroying your tires (remember no slicks on the street).. shift, repeat... make lots of noise and realize you're not really moving... let of the gas and drive away off boost. It'd probably only be fun/usable on the freeway already traveling at high speed and even then could probably break the tires loose at will.... What would be the point? Zhadman
I think most people who would say "yeah I would drive that car on the street" really have no idea what they are talking about... There was a SCC article a while back (oh...6-8 months ago) that featured a 400WHP civic and they said the thing was nearly impossible to drive on the street. One can only imagine that 800WHP would be a nightmare. While I can fully believe that the Honda motor can attain such power... I find it a bit of a stretch that that car is ever driven anywhere other than the track (at that power level). One could always turn down the boost I guess... slownrusty
I am 100% sure this car is driven on the street...but obviously with the boost turned way back down, timing turned up a bit for streetability and pump gas. Maybe even runs a smaller turbo on the street. Yasin
wheelman
I suppose you could drive it on the street, just don't rev it above 5500 RPM. It would be like every other Civic out there until it revs past 5500 then it will be like Bastaad said. Wheelman
cygnusx1
I hate front wheel drive...can't stand it. Maybe I'm ol skool but to me it's either rear wheel, or all wheel drive. Front wheels are for steering. By the way that is a very nice Honda. Real good craftsmanship in that machine.
BrandonsZ
S2000 is rear drive and I heard it has great handling for street. Take that 800 baby and put it in the S2000. Probably have issues with reliability though.
