Two40MuscleZ
Everyone, if they have the opportunity, should watch the latest Penn & Teller episode of "Bull S--t", on ShowTime TV. They did a big blowout on PETA, putting everything back into their proper perspective; including the female chairperson who started the rouse! Interesting to see both sides of the picture, and how it has been misrepresented. Remember those inspiring words from the U.S. Cattlemans Association motto..."Eat More Beef", or the little old lady named Martha from the 70's Wendy's Hamburger Commercial..."Wheres the Beef". Not to be out done by the latest catch phrase..."Beef...it's what's for dinner". Speaking of which, it's time to go put the stakes on the grill for dinner! Bon Apetite

waynekarnes
mmm, bacon ! yes ... bought bacon on 5/30/05 . ...pound and half of thick cut, special smoke flavored and seasoned. normally, cook bacon and house smells of ... well the fat and grease ... with this bacon two days later, friends say, man house smells great, what is that hint of smoke, like a cool winter day and the 1st oak wood burning fireplace is fired up. ... i didn't want to be greedy and eat it in a couple days. been rationing and savoring each piece. bacon with cottage fried tatters and omelet, BLT sandwiches ( mouth watering ), and just plain bacon ... well ... i think i waited too long ... 1/8th to 1/4 pound left ... was afraid i waited too long ( bacon has been in the electric ice box ). 5/30 to 6/10 i cooked it and let the australian shepard that lives in my backyard enjoy it. think i could have safely enjoyed that bacon ??? well, i know i would have enjoyed it ... think it would have been safe to eat ? dog's scavenger digestive system works differently than mine, so i know he's safe ... cat crap don't bother em... seem to think it almond roca candy ... 5/30 to 6/10 ... refrigerated bacon ... was it safe to eat ... A. G. Olphart
Aaron, it would be a bit of a drive for your steak dinner: Saskatoon is in West central Saskatchewan (Canada). And a quick note to Aux.: Don't worry, it isn't your PETA affiliation...

Guest Aaron
Olphart, that would be a little far, but I have been known to plan vacations around a restaurant before. Tht1KSguy, thanks, I found the address on mapsonus.com. My wife and I saw a special on greenville, and have been thinking about going over there for a weekend trip. Now I know where we will eat. 2126
Screw PETA and the horse they didn't ride in on! More bleeding heart liberals doing what they do best......exercise their jaws! Maybe they tend to forget we are at the top of the food chain. I know, lets do lab experiments on the homeless! And the croak of dodo about not eating living things.....aaaaaah, last time I checked, everything we consume was living at one time. I know I feel really bad when I eat an orange....I can hardly stand the screaming in addition to being squirted with an acidic solution!!! crazy280
Hey I'm a liberal, so don't even try to associate me with PETA....that's a low blow....kinda like associating rightwingers with the KKK

Tim240z
Now PETA is bitchin about the Aquarium of the Pacific serving fish and chips..... Aquarium Shouldn't Serve Fish' date=' PETA SaysThe animal rights group asks the Long Beach attraction to get seafood off its menu. By Amanda Covarrubias, Times Staff Writer An animal rights group wants the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach to gut its cafeteria menu of fish and seafood, arguing that "serving fish at an aquarium is like serving poodle burgers at a dog show." Like Lilo in the animated "Lilo and Stitch," who refused to make a tuna sandwich for her friend, Pudge, a fish, because it would be "an abomination," the head of the Fish Empathy Project for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals said serving fish at an aquarium just isn't right. "An institution with a mission that includes teaching people to respect and appreciate marine animals certainly shouldn't serve fish in its cafeteria," Karin Robertson wrote last week in a letter to Jerry Schabel, the aquarium's chairman and chief executive. Robertson, who runs a website called fishinghurts.com, said recent studies have showed that fish are "intelligent, sensitive and interesting animals." "Fish are far more intelligent than previously thought, and in some respects their cognitive abilities surpass those of dogs and some nonhuman primates," she wrote to Schabel. "The treatment of both commercially caught fish and fish from fish farms would warrant cruelty-to-animals charges in your state if animals we are more familiar with, like dogs and cats, were treated as badly." Aquarium officials say they won't ban from their kitchens sustainable seafood, such as tilapia, farmed clams and wild-caught Alaskan salmon, that can be replenished through such means as fish farms. The facility said it co-sponsors a Seafood Watch program with the Monterey Bay Aquarium designed to educate the public about the types of fish that are safe to eat and those to avoid because they are endangered or are caught using methods harmful to other sea creatures. "Like PETA, we are committed to animals and their conservation, and we appreciate that commitment," Schabel said in a statement Monday. She said some people coming to the aquarium "may want to eat seafood. Rather than eat seafood from unsustainable sources, we stand committed to offering them the alternative of eating only sustainable or environmentally friendly seafood." The 1.25 million people who visit the aquarium each year can choose from an array of seafood dishes, including clam chowder, rainbow trout and catfish, as well as tilapia and salmon, said spokeswoman Marilyn Padilla. Despite the aquarium's denying her request, Robertson said she will send letters to other aquariums around the country to point out what she calls the hypocrisy of their menus. "They should be serving exclusively vegetarian food, not just for the health of their patrons but for the animals they contend to be supporting," she said Monday. "They don't sell elephant burgers at the zoo, and they shouldn't be selling fish at aquariums." [/quote']
