johnc
Datsun Alley is still in business the last I heard. The previous owner of Datsun alley, Marc Jones, just liquidated a warehouse full of 240Z parts. I took a pallet full of 240Z struts, a box of steering shafts, a few R180 diffs, some halfshafts, and other misc. parts. Lots of locals were there scrounging and left with a lot of goodies. I saw one guy leave with 6 brand new L24 blocks from Nissan and another leave with 2 new P90 head castings. And I sell some parts and pieces for the 240Z: http://www.betamotorsports.com

bjhines
About those steering shafts.... I have found no one selling the correct U joints to mate to our steering boxes... regardless of cutting and splicing the steering shaft... I need to replace the U-joint that fits on the steering pinion shaft... If someone really wanted to get creative they would buy a box of servicable Ujoints and have them custom broached... Diameter is no problem.. It is the damn spline count..The closest available parts fit Toyota Land Cruisers and they have one too many splines... No GO... Guest trubluzedguy
Here's one from Japan that will get some mouths watering. Catch: no local pick-up and they only post within Japan. The fit and finish of these parts is incredible. Enjoy. http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=ja&u=http://home.att.ne.jp/sky/FairladyZ/&sa=X&oi=translate&resnum=1&ct=result&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhome.att.ne.jp/sky/FairladyZ/%26hl%3Den%26lr%3D

iaconsultants
When I was in LA area about two years ago I found a place called Pacific Coast Import Parts that had good prices for stock items, brakes pads, rotors, mastercylinders, and other stock items. They only have a few shelves in the front but you call them order what you want and they seem to have it there in a day or two. They are located on 837 Pacific Coast Highway, Hermosa Beach Ca 90254, and there number is 310-374-8933. One thing I noticed on the receipt is a 20% restocking fee so make sure you buy what you want. You can also set up an account and they gave a discount back then, if I remember correct it was like 5 or 10%.
