big-phil
That cardboard might hold up for a day or two, but if it rains your screwed!
Hey_Allen
Have you looked for any sign of the steel rot moving down into the joint between the frame rail and the firewall? I didn't think to look at that point when I bought my car, and only found out about it today when the owner of a local Nissan specialty shop expressed his concern when I mentioned the prior owner's "repair" of some rust just below the battery. I found that my whole firewall to fender to frame rail area was rusted heavily between all the pinch welds, enough so that it's parked until I either fix it or rebody the power train. Just a thought, since I'd never thought of it until I got my nose rubbed in it.

olie05
Why did you form the metal with the bends instead of the way the cardboard was mocked up?
wigenOut-S30
Why did you form the metal with the bends instead of the way the cardboard was mocked up? To give me room incase I want to put the battery back there, or a place for a meth tank or something down the road.
Evan Purple240zt
You crazy hillrods and your meth! lol Looks good Gabe, I never noticed that rust down there. Thats the exact same place where my car was rusted the 2nd go around. I just could not bring myself to redo all the body work again. the hole was huge on my car, about a square foot needed to be cut out and replaced. Lookin' good champ!
