OK so there has been a lot of talk about changing the airdam, So if I were to be talked into changing it what would be some better choices?

I have looked at the ones I can find available on the net and I have to say I am not excited about most of them.. Show me some pictures and short of one off prototypes money is not the issue...

So far from what i have seen i am not seeeing anything i like better than the one i had picked out. Not trying to knock anyones parts, just not seeing anything that looks like it belongs on the car. I hope someone finally suggests something that I think looks better so that I will have something to consider.

Well I guess no one could photoshop the part out of the middle of the bumper so I figured I would byjeffshandshop it..

Here are a few shots after cutting the section out, I have not started glassing it back together yet as I want to take it and put it on the car and have a look but the car is 50min away.

Also after changing the placement of the lower part that was left after the cuts (the bottom part moving up) there will need to be some modifications to the sides where they meet the wheel well I am sure. I just need to mock it up and make a few minor cuts and then I will put it back together.

I like how it looks so far but it is just sitting there and not on the car, I do think it is going to look much better though. I took the measurements on the factory rear bumper as far as thickness and tried to reproduce it on the front one.

So thoughts ??? after-after-after-before

Have you considered the BRE/'Spook' Front Spoiler? It is THE original spoiler for the race 'effect', and I have used them on a few restored Zs that always garnered compliments.

Most comment on how they seldom see that 'classic race look'. I've always been partial to them.

The Airdam is just so common. It seems as though the strong majority of Z cars have it, like there weren't any options. Personally, I try to find something a little more unique....

Do you have a picture of this style airdam?

ndeli55 was right on it. Thanks. That's the one. They are also available with 'ducts'. See the pics of John Morton's original race car. Also Motorsport Auto has a pic in their catalog, possibly online as well.

Again, MY preference is mostly because not everyone uses it.....
