S30TRBO
So I brought the Z over to my mechanic friends house who has a lift to put the R/T diff mount in and adjust the valves. My question is for guys who have done this in early 240Z like mine. How did you get it to fit around the stock brake/fuel lines. There is a stock clamp that holds all the lines together right where the mount goes. Does the bracket somehow get slid in behind the lines then bolted into place? That clamp looks like it’s tack welded to the body. All the pictures I found show the R/T diff mount mounted but there are no stock fuel/brake lines running in the tunnel? Note this pic is not my Z! No camera handy last night, Z is an hour away. I modified this picture and added my artistic fuel and brake lines in red so you get a better idea. RB26powered74zcar
This is my early 260. Is your different? I think I may have had to mod it a tad...
Pop N Wood
Here is a pic of my mount. I don't have the lines in at the moment, but I didn't think there was going to be an issue with clearance. The car is a 1970 model
S30TRBO
J, My lines actually run along the passenger side of the tunnel like this:
BayAreaZT
Did you ever solve this problem? I'm running into the same issue on a series one.
junglist
what bolts/nuts/washers are you guys using? I have the poly mount and am waiting for the RT mount from roostmonkey but I need to get all new hardware as the old stuff is all in pretty rough shape. BayAreaZT
The bolts that mount the RT mount to the tranny tunnel I ordered through Grainger. I'm reusing the diff bolts.

BayAreaZT
do you happen to remember what size you used? M10x1.25 Thanks for the pics Joe. Got mine mounted now.
TrumpetRhapsody
I just noticed that some of the pictures show two bolts holding the poly mount to the RT mount, and some showing just one bolt. The poly mount has three holes, so either way works. The question is, is one bolt enough, or should I drill out my rt mount for two holes, since it only came with one? capt_furious
Anyone have an answer to TR's question? I'm having mine mounted tomorrow (yeah, I'm checkbooking it, that's the problem with having only one car, no garage and driving it all the time) and I'm wondering about the possibility of using both the RT mount and the stock lower mount in conjunction with each other. It looks as if Joe (240ztt) was successful in this. How much thread is available on the stock bolts? Can you fit the ES poly mount on there and still have enough thread to get the lower mount on, or does the RT mount make this a non-issue by lowering the pinion in relation to the chassis and leaving no room for the lower mount? Car in question is a early 260 with an R200. The idea of one short bolt holding the nose of the diff in place during downshift / reverse bugs me. Just how strong is the bolt that comes with the ES poly mount? I'd rather not find out.

Probably a little late....All stock bolts were reused with both the R/T mount and the stock one in place. The top of my ES mount has 2 bolts holding it to the R/T mount. No issues thus far. capt_furious
Thanks, Joe! The mount is going in today. That's reassuring.
capt_furious
Got it in, the car really puts the power down now without any feeling of slop. The fuel lines had to be moved up the tunnel a bit, but otherwise, it went in with minimal fuss, and the lower mount bolted right back in, as well. The nose of that diff isn't going anywhere! capt_furious
Didn't have a chance to get the camera in there, unfortunately. The install pretty much looks just like Joe's. No interference with the ebrake, either.

buZy
Ours is trapped from the top and bottom. Much better than fully relying on the ES mount.
Pyro
I used a universal sway bar bushings and bolt kit for my diff mount.
