Mikelly
While I wait for the pilot bearing (and a severely strained back to heal) I figured I'd go ahead and do the compcams trunion mod. that was about as simple as it gets. An hour later, new trunions installed in the stock rockers. They cost me $105 Shipped on ebay.
Mikelly
Some may have been wondering why I havent posted much on progress lately... I pulled my back out on the 17th of November, ignored it, then caught the flu this past Sunday night, nausea and diahrrea hit me hard and by the time I went to the urgent care facility I was a bit to dehydrated... I passed out in the room they assigned me... They ended up giving me 2 QUARTS of fluids and some muscle relaxers for my back. Today I went to an orthopedic specialist and will start physical therapy next week... So this process is going to take a bit longer to get the motor installed... Mikelly
Got a bunch done on the Zcar this afternoon after work. Some of the connections made, motor mounts tightened up, headers bolted up, coil pack brackets bolted up... Tons of small stuff...
Mikelly
Yea, so that went well... Not somuch... I have done a LOT of stuff connecting the electrical connections, the hydraulic lines to the clutch, brake booster, fuel lines, water lines... And then my back starts bothering me again... I am on pretty strict orders not to be doing "car" stuff like bending over a car or standing on concrete. So This project is taking a detour. Ugh... Atleast until the new year... 3 weeks physical therapy started last Friday... So there you have it.
RebekahsZ
I have an MRI on my neck scheduled Friday. Trying to get up the courage to get it worked on. Feels so unstable and sketchy that I broke down and bought a HANS device because I'm scared of the weight of my helmet. We play together, we suffer together. Get well soon!

RebekahsZ
I feel your back pain. Here's my neck. You will have to rotate the picture-I dunno how on my new phone yet. Gonna talk to somebody about maybe removing the bad disc and fusing the two ratchet vertebrae together. I'm slotting my front crossmember with it installed in the car on jack stands-real neck job! Hope you feel better fast, Mike. I feel your pain. Edited December 20, 2015 by RebekahsZ
Mikelly
Keith, I hope you get it squared away man... We are in Williamsburg Va for a weekend break and the walking around has cooked my back. We walked about 10 miles yesterday and I really over-did it. I expect to have the Datsun running this coming week... Should be a great kick off to the 2016 season...

Hope you feel better fast, Mike. I feel your pain. Not trying to get too off topic but I've had a fusion in my lumbar area and I can tell you that it only should be a last resort. I ended up eventually having many side effects and now live with chronic pain and all the fun that entails. Seriously, only as a last resort. Feel free to reach out.
