AK-Z
WOW. Looks like a mini cobra hardtop, if it didn't have the front wing.
alexdeprat
Crazy! it looks like a mini version of the Pikes Peak unlimited class racer.
FJ 280z
did they just lay carbon fiber over the body or did they make the entire body out of cf? what a bunch of money and what a task if thats what happened. anyone recognize what engine that is? hyabusa or R1 or gsxr? and is it have a chain driven diff or something? pretty amazing!!! JMortensen
I think these cars were chain driven from Honda, so hooking up the chain to the bike engine would be that much easier if it is using any stock drivetrain components. I read elsewhere that it is a Hyabusa engine.
tube80z
WOW! Got this link from c-c.com. Looks like fun to me...http://japanesenostalgiccar.com/picture.cgi?section=events&article=jccs2007&picnum=1 I had pictures of this car from a few years back when it first came out. The wings are because it doesn't fit into DM because of the MC engine and now needs to run in AM.
Montezuma
That car was been at JCCS for the past 2 shows....it is interesting, at first he had the "Why?" effect on me, but I can see why a person would do it, I just am not sure what type of racing it is set up for. veritech-z
Looks like that Suzuki Escudo Pike's Peak Hillclimb car almost. What a cool project that is...
BWRex
Looks like a waste of carbon fiber,IMO...
Challenger
Nice, but that is alot of CF! I wish I had one.
nbesheer
I've seen it in person, it has a hayabusa engine. and is fully tube framed from what i saw. Also the CF around the lights even has all the "dot approval" text on it.
Gollum
I saw it at the Motoring J Style show last weekend. Top knotch fabrication from what I could see. I was tempted to find the owner to see if I could dead lift the front end...
capt_furious
My mom had one in the '80s. I showed this to her and she was amazed. Pretty wild. Looks like a lot of time invested.
