Ivan280zt
Chris Nielsen is on of the main guys in fab shop (we have 10 fab guys) and he is doing everything with turbo system. Ginger kid in pictures is Matt and he is doing pretty much everything from firewall back (except I/C system). He did my new radiator support and since my 10 point cage just came in today he will be welding her in shortly and parachute will be going on at the same time ( I just got done taking whole interior appart last night). Chris will be doing header and intake manifold on my 2jz engine since that is kinda his specialty and it will consist of 6 into 1 merge collector with tial exhaust housing on my Gt42. On this blue evo we did work on engine, turbo system, and fuel system. We did not do cage or body work on it. Right now we are pretty much done with her its in final stages of dyno tunning. A rough run down of the car: -AMS 2.3RR engine -HKS Dry Sump oil system -AMS GT35R -AMS VSR Intake Manifold -Exedy Triple carbon Clutch -CTG Torqueline CF Driveshaft -Brembo GT brakes -AP air jack system -JRZ Triple Adjustable racing suspension -Dek adjustable front control arms -ATL CF Fuel cell -AIM Dash -Ams custom exhaust The car will also be outfitted with a Voltex wide body kit similar to the one seen on the Cyber Evo

JustinOlson
Awesome! What is the deal with the carbon fiber roofs on these cars? Do you just cut out the factory sheet metal and expoxy/rivet on the new roof? Justin
Ivan280zt
Justin, Those are Ams carbon fiber roofs. Whole swap takes about 8-10 hours and to take it off you have to remove windshield, rear window all the trim running on top of the roof and from that point you start drilling out factory riverts (also have to remove some kind of glue on top of the rivets dirty job for sure). Not hard job but its very time consuming.

slownrusty
Ivo - Many thanks for sharing, I will re-echo everyone's sentiments and say that is fabrication, talent, dedication and design to a whole different dimension. So are you on the fabrication team? How is the company doing overall? I know their parts are not cheap and it is a competitive almost cut throat business, with the shop, the projects, overhead and 10 members of staff the bills can add-up quickly! Please continue sharing the pictures, they are very inspiring, jeeez even the picture quality is a whole new level of clarity..LOL!! Regards - Yasin

Ivan, Do you think you could post a photo in the suspension forum so we could hash out the pros and cons? I wouldnt have the foggest how to do it. Thanks, Douglas
TrumpetRhapsody
I just noticed that the first evo's intake plenum is similar in looks to the one jmortenson fabbed out of mandrel intake tubing and such. Interesting.
Careless
I just noticed that the first evo's intake plenum is similar in looks to the one jmortenson fabbed out of mandrel intake tubing and such. Interesting. I remember rontyler making one, that I know for sure. As for the intake setup, when the size of the tubes say "we gotta go through the interior cabin" you know there's something "extreme" about it. im scared! Company is doing great overall international bussines is going really good since dollar is not worth anything these days and we just hired two more salesman which brings total to 31 employes yes 31 lol. Right now we got few more big projects with Mitsubishi Usa, Castrols top shop challenge that will blow everyones mind when they see what we got up to our sleeve ; ) http://www.syntectopshopchallenge.com/modified-engine-videos/6203175.html ,andn we are also building evo10 for sport compact cars ultimate street car challenge so its freaking bussy bussy.
