rudypoochris
Here is an interesting independent 240z design that merges it basically with the GT-R. Thoughts?

jerryb
I know its a repost but I like it soooooo much. It captures the original lines while looking very modern. I love well done retro! Its like fashion ...whats old is eventualy new again.
AutoX_Z
That is the tightest looking car I've seen in a long time. I wish we could have a tail shot.
veritech-z
I'm personally not fond of mega sized high offset wheels, but since I don't design concept cars, I suppose i have to take what i'm given. It doesn't make me want to throw up, so that's a step in the right direction. Pretty cool, really.
Globerunner513
agreed, new wheels are a must. But the rest of it is a great tribute to the classic design.

Administrators BRAAP Posted August 27, 2008 Administrators Share Posted August 27, 2008 Now which new Chrysler 300/Charger/Magnum/RT is this one? When I look at just the front, (firewall forward), I always get those new Mopars confused...
datsun40146
The 1st thing I thought was "What, they just copied an AUDI's front end" Once I looked at the rest of the car it went OK but that front end need a bit of work. IMO but its better than the last concept. Mabye a blending of the two?
jerryb
Be nice Paul........Chrysler! I dont see that at all!
TrumpetRhapsody
Those headlights will never happen, too complex. The tires and wheels are just stupid big, forget it. The front is OK, but it needs work. The air dam isn't mean enough. Turn signals don't do it for me. Love the rest.
Administrators BRAAP Posted August 28, 2008 Administrators Share Posted August 28, 2008 Be nice Paul........Chrysler! I dont see that at all! Jerry, I apologize for my poor attempt at humor. No harm or insult meant. What I meant to really say was that at first glance, my initial reaction to this concept-Z, in particular the nose and vertical portions of the front fenders, have a striking resemblance to the modern Mopar Magnum and Challenger cars pictured below. They are different in detail, though the concept and style is similar. Sort of gives the illusion of large flaring nostrils. Chrysler-esque... Again, I apologize if I offended anyone with my previous comments. Those comments were meant in humor only.

WizardBlack
The orange one is way better of a "new take" on the old car without taking styling cues from MOPAR, Audi and the skyline GTR.
rudypoochris
Chris have you looked at the new *370z*? very different headlight design.. similar to this new concept z. I think I have, does it look like this: If so, I don't like it much at all.
WizardBlack
It looks like they told a 10 year old to make the 350Z look like a transformer with a pissed off expression. Two thumbs down. Shoulda put whoever designed the G37 in charge. Where's that other retro 240 design??? Put that #&*$ thing into production!!! SteelToad
That 370z looks like somebody took a perfectly acceptable car and wanted to see what happened if they put it in the microwave for a few minutes. It just looks sad.
DemonZ
Minus the wheels, that's pretty fresh. Perfect mix of new GTR and old 240 lines.
