Administrators BRAAP Posted November 18, 2008 Administrators Share Posted November 18, 2008 We have a couple gentlemen working on cleaning up the sold ads and now the original poster in the classifieds can delete his/her own ad at will. stony
Is there anyway to do an ALL call (email) to all members to notify them to delete old sold for sale ads?
johnc
Is there anyway to do an ALL call (email) to all members to notify them to delete old sold for sale ads? I don't think we would want to spam our entire membership for something like this.
stony
OK sounds good. if you give me the power i will help clean it up. I have been looking for a clean rust free 240 for a while and it seems they go pretty quick. But the ads hang around for a long time
TrumpetRhapsody
Perhaps ads could autoexpire after a couple months, and notify the OP to post up a new thread. That would help KEEP things clean.
COZY Z COLE
We have a couple gentlemen working on cleaning up the sold ads and now the original poster in the classifieds can delete his/her own ad at will. I just finished the whole forum today. I deleted the ones that that were clearly stated. So many of the last post's were PM sent with no follow up so I could not delete them. What further action we will do about the situation will be determined shortly. LARRY

naviathan
I was wondering about deleting my sold ads as well. So far all I can do it close the thread.
johnc
We put in a change a few weeks ago that lets posters delete and/or close their own for sale ads. If that's not working for your ad it we'll check on it. In the meantime, edit the ad so it says SOLD and then close it.
naviathan
I closed it and added a post that says Sold. I noticed after there was a response to the first post I could no longer edit the original to change the title or anything. And no delete option for me. WizardBlack
How about requiring everyone to list the two digit state it's for sale in? That, or the code for another country, etc.? Save everyone time...
