SO I stop by this alignment shop before I bring the car in and ask, "can you do a front end alignment on a drag race car?" he says sure. I told him I just need to get it as close as possible to stock settings. he says no problem again. I again asked as I was going out the door so your sure you can do a drag car no problem, nothing is stock on the car. he says NO PROBLEM get it here in an hour.

So I haul ass home, and since I have driven it around the neighborhood several times with no issues I decide to have the wife follow me while I drive it to the shop 8 miles one way. We made it there no problem. I sign in and he says have a seat. then about 5 min later the guy I had just talked to comes out and says we can’t do your car. I said WHAT???? he says "yea we can’t do it, the rear wheels have what too much offset". I said " what part of me asking can you do a drag car did you not understand"

He says I didn’t realize about the rear tires. "I said again what didn’t you understand about the words DRAG CAR???:" what a efing ******!!!

so this is a perfeect time for my ignitor to act up!!! car wont start ;< wife and i eat lunch and after about 30 minutes it starts right up and we drive back home and now I’m in search of another shop.....

OBTW 8 PSI feels awesome!!!!! can’t wait to get it back up at 30PSI!!!!

Heat treated in the engine compartment. Seen to many people have the master cylinder spring a leak and catch fire due to heat.

I used

Lava Wrap, 1" x 50' Heatshield Exhaust Wrap on the downpipe

Heatshield, Thermaflect Tape, 4" x 10' on the Master cylinder heat shield and Lava Mat - 24" x 24" sheet on the bottom of the hood to prevent that from catching fire!!!! supposed to reflect 2000 degrees as close as .5 of an inch. only thing i was un happy with were the wrinkles in the matting due to the way it was packaged. it should have been roller up vs folded. oh well it will still work.

I ordered it all from v e r o c i o u s m o t o r s p o r t s . c o m their prices are usually a few dollars cheaper then summit and jegs.

some pics.

Car is looking good stony! I can wait to see a dyno video and some track videos of this thing. I'm on a totally different engine but I'm running a aem on mine too.

Thanks, the more i read up on the system the more i like it. seems like it will do everything i need it to. especially nitrous control. i'm going to have it control the nitrous so its on whenever i'm at WOT and less then 20 PSI. Also kinda of anxious about seeing if i can tune the off boost stuff to get the converter to stall a little better.

Woo Hooo my wiring specialties rb26 engine harness shipped today so hope to be able to update with some dyno figures and video very soon!!!!

I was going to just get a stock rb26 harness and modify it. Then i came across wiring specialties. I told them what i needed and they were very happy to help. My harness shipped today .

I have been talking with Yuri at Wiring specialties and I have to say their customer service is awesome. I would highly recommend to anyone if you have any kind of rb/sr, or any other swap for that matter, in mind check them out. The daunting job of wiring a swap will be made allot easier not to mention I will have a new harness with all new connectors and not have to worry about a 20 year old wire harness!!!!

Awesome news! Getting close...very happy for you. I am in the process of ordering a harness from Yury as well. Looking forward to hear your feedback once installed. Did you use their patch harness for your setup?

No patch harness. Basically a stock harness that was custom built for my application. Will plug directly into the AEM EMS>

Wiring specialties Harness came in today and it fit perfect. It literally only took me about 10 minutes to lay it over the motor, feed it thru the firewall and plug everything in. all that is left is power and ground and a few other wires and it will be ready to crank. I still need to remove the intake and get a IAT sensor bung welded in and when i do that i'm going to tuck the harness up under the fuel rail. Once that is done you will hardly see any harness at all.

Very happy with the quality overall and now that i have it installed would highly recommend to anyone doing a swap to just get a swap harness. it makes the swap SOOOOOO much easier. Pics to follow by the weekend.
