haberdash
I'm considering giving my zed a temporary* satin paint job while I fix everything else on her. Show me your black zeds so I can make a decision! *'temporary' probably being far longer than I'm hoping.

Inferno 08
This was done with $0.99 a can Lowes flat black (only two coats were on when the pics were taken, a few more made it look a ton better):

Empire
280Zone did you use the rattlecans or a real gun and compressor?
holden_fan2005
280Zone, that looks fantastic! That's mine. That is from a few cheap rattle cans. I resprayed it on Thursday in matte black again but this time with a spray gun with a compressor + water trap etc. I haven't got any pics but it looks way better and much more even than when I did it with rattle cans. I used a liter of paint (4 parts paint, one part thinners I had lying around) which was $30nzd, around $20usd I think. I sprayed mine in black to keep it from rusting while I decided what to do with it. It's also a good way to see if any more rust comes through before spending big $$ on a paint job

haberdash
Thanks for all the replies! They all look good, even the rattle can ones. Keep them coming. Flatblack and 280Zone, that's what I'd like her to look like. Holdenfan, I'm planning to do it with a proper gun. Could I get you to upload some recent photos? P.s about $22.50AUD . 280Zone
Thanks for the compliments. Mine is a catalyzed primer shot by a pro gun and painter. He has also done the hotrod flat black but that was a little too glossy for me.

AkumaNoZeta
I LOVE that Hot Rod Black, it makes me reconsider painting my car white.
Empire
Megatherion: ever find out about that fuel door? Looks like maybe a '94-'99 Mustang but not sure. I've got to get that, since my fuel door doesn't like to stay flush and I rather have that style anyway.
