Ridiculous pictures/poses

Recently, at the local flea market, a friend insisted upon buying me a cheap pair of ridiculous sunglasses, insisting that they "look great".

I, not being one to be deterred by the amount of silly that these glasses contain, agreed to wear them.

I have discovered that I am a baseless junky for self depricating humour, and am altogether odd. The scope of my mental discord cannot be contained by conventional or unconventional means, and the people around me simply have to deal with the embarrasment associated with my presence. From equating every day oddities to imaginary scenes in an imaginary midget porn flick in public, to feeling the need to spend large portions of the day speaking with an accent or in strange voices, I even cannot predict my next bout of inanity/insanity.

ANYWAYS, some times there are cameras around, and occasionally I run across a random picture of myself being...well... me. So back to the sunglasses, this is a picture of me, with a large papaya, apparently doing the heisman pose?

Does anyone else regularly embarass themselves simply because you think its funny?

Well we should not take ourselves too seriously but the self depreciating thing can go too far, become a habit. Which may not be good for our self image.

Then again wearing silly things can be a way of overcoming self consciousness in public I suppose, aaah life can be complicated sometimes :)

I dont have self-esteem problems. I just like to make myself the brunt of the joke sometimes. You can get away with much racier humor that way, and nobody gets thier feelings hurt.

Anyhow. just looking to share some sillyness, not get into psychoanalysis.

Silly pose....

A young 30 year old BRAAP back in the late ‘90’s doing his best Vanna White impersonation just prior to attaching his most powerful engine build on the Dyno at Sunset Engine Development. Other gentleman is Wade, my engine building mentor, whom I owe a great debt of gratitude for his time and patience in teaching me all he could regarding performance engine building and machining while working for him.

Thank you Wade. :2thumbs:
