Short Burnout Video -280ZX Turbo

I can do a smokey burnout in my grandmother's Hoveround Wheelchair with tire shine.

Back in the 1970s(before the days of shiney tires), I used Crisco Lard. In fact I put it on friends' tires as a joke in the school parking lot just to watch them loop leaving the parking lot.

I am not seeing a monster high HP car in ANY of these videos. I see lubricant on tires with ~50HP to turn them on the lubricant.

TH400 + 26.5 Drag Tires + PT76GTS + 93 octane + 10PSI = need for some slickum to get things rollin B)

Sigh. People don't care about the other cars you have built. If you would just put this on a dyno people would stop complaining. I thought you said you had already done the fixes to make it "dyno ready". Lets get a date to get it on the dyno and a video and some dyno graphs. I honestly want to see the power this thing can make.

I also want to know what it would cost to build an L6 to make such numbers (600-800 at one time claimed capable of 1000WHP). A more detail parts list. Stroke, bore, piston specs, rod specs, crank specs, even block specs. Is the block sleeved? Is it lightened? Heat treated? What is done to a stock block to make it handle the abuse of the HP and the 38PSI of boost claimed that made the 800whp. Head studs? Are they englarged? Headgasket? What head work? Valve, cam, valve springs, retainers? What materials are these made of and to what specs? This is all useful information. Specs on the intake manifold, the injectors, the TB, the turbo, the turbo manifold, the waste gate, the intercoolers. We need all of these things to know what has been done to make this car cabable of making this calimed 600-800+ RWHP.

I am not calling you a lier nor am I saying it is absolutly impossible to make such power with an L6. I am mearly saying, lets get something up to back this up. Burn out videos don't back up a cars power. Put the boost to 38psi and test this baby out.

Well, if this thread is now about doing impressive smoky burnouts, I successfully amazed a plethora of onlookers by boiling the tread off my 10" stock tires in my brandy-new 1984 Suzuki Alto Automatic. Automatic 550CC's of raging power, and I could smoke the tires.

There isn't a car I've owned that I couldn't induce a smoking burnout. Once, in the dormitory someone said "All that means to me is cheap tires" and I guess that stuck.

On the G-Nosed car...nice. I have one like that. Tires for it are expensive enough I don't want to burn them up! ;)

I was waiting for a Tony D nostalgia story about when he was in Japan in 1980 just after he invented the peanut butter and jelly sandwich, the solar panel and the Diesel Datsun crank he did impressive burnouts in an auto Alto Suzuki..and cue the music because here it is...laughing!

WHOOP WHOOP! Let this baby shine, I really do hope it makes somewhere close to what it stated. 38 PSI on Q16? I wish you luck! ;)

C16 and we will start out in the 20PSI range and work our way up, not sure if she will take 35+ with the standard ARP head studs, probably need the L19 hardware to keep her head from lifting...we'll see, I'll video everything.

Sounds good. The only reason why I posted the above on fuel and boost is because that is what I believe the PO stated it would make 800whp at. :D I am still excited to see what the outcome is.

Posts deleted. This forum is not about guessing, nor is it a chat room. Post the results or don't, but stop playing games.

Jeez, I'm starting to feel like I'm on some uptight Porsche or BMW forum, lighten up Ron! :P

Not sure if I understand your post or your point???

Ok lets break it down!!!

I first asked you a question. "You bought it?" referring to the 280zx that you posted. That requires a simple yes or no.

Then I stated "That car has been for sale for a while." (Ok how do i break this down into simpler terms...)

Ok.

Metal gray thing with wheels and turbo you may or may not have attained has been up for public purchase for quite a while now. (this requires no input from you, you can however acknowledge the statement.)
