Hey! New to the board, but have a small block chevy in my 260z (actually I have two 260's with small blocks) and was the winner of "Pinks" taped September 16, 2006 at Virginia Motorsports Park. The show will air in February 2007 (Season 4). See a small video (one of our crew made for us) at video.google.com and search for JON PINKS. The car that we ran on this show is a 1974 260Z "Little Tire Car" (street legal 3200 pounds with driver), with a 800-RWHP 415 cubic inch SBC. I have Dart 23-degree heads with a NX single stage Shark Nozzle system and an HVH/NX plate system. 3 3/4 stroke crank, 6'' rods, Bowtie Block Tranny is 350 Turbo with 3000 nitrous converter, stock suspension, with a .370 Corvette center section on a 27 x 10.50 x 15" Hoosier Quick Time Pro D.O.T. Tires. My best ET in this car has been at 2800' elevation......5.86 at 121 mph in the 1/8 mile and 9.0 at 150 mph in the 1/4 mile.

Also have another 1974 260Z "Big Tire Car"( street legal 2800 lbs with driver ) as posted below " Fastest Street Legal Z " by SHAI. It has 1100-RWHP 442 cubic inch SBC and a Kinsler Fuel Injection, 1 Stage NX Shark Nozzle System, 23 # 867 heads, 4 1/16 stroke crank, 6'' rods, Dart Bolck, 350 turbo with a trans brake, 3800 stall nitrous converter, 4.11 gears with 33x18.50x15'' Hoosier Quick Time Pro D.O.T. Tires My best time in this car has been at 300' elevation....... 5.06 at 140 mph in the 1/8 mile and 7.86 at 176.00 in the 1/4 mile I will try to get some pics of both cars up. if anyone has any questions call me at 1-888-289-6261 or e-mail jon66@localnet,com :burnout:

I talked to Rich at the PRI show in Orlando in December. Our episode (even though the first episode filmed for season 4) will probably not air first....since we were three and out. They like for it to go five rounds. I am supposed to be informed about a week before....so I'll post on here when I find out.

Isnt pinks all 5.slows now? J/k J/k Congrats on the win. I have been waiting for this ep about 4 months now since my friend down there told me about it.

I think they are really going to elaborate on the bickering since it was only a 3 run and done ep.

Those are some fast cars! Glad to see you win. Anyway to get some pictures of the chassis too. Is the body removable?

Thanks, It was very stressfull puting up our 260 Z " Little Tire Car " to go run on PINKS, But we went with our car and team well prepared and tested and came out with 3 back to back wins and WON!! We hope to have both of our 260 Z's at SEZ #8 I just finished the motor in the 'Big Tire " Z car and will fire up the motor on monday. The only thing on the " Big Tire Z Car " removable off the body is the front end and hood.( the rest is all factory metal and glass ) I will try to get some chassis pics of both Z cars up Monday.

Thanks

Jon Phillips

Barney's back in New York with his previous owner. Shean called me on Tuesday after the show was taped on Saturday and apologized and asked what I would take for Barney. He flew down, we picked him up at the airport, he spent a couple of days at our house and then took Barney home. We talk to him almost everyday on the phone.

From an earlier post in this thread. I'm assuming barney was teh competitors car..... funny it looked like a barney :trippen:

Nice.....Any exterior pics of the big tire car. I'm using it as an example of how i want my car to look when it sits on the ground. Right now ride heigth is adjusted with a floor jack :< but should be no higher then this pic. front suspension needs to come way down.

Enough of my car...... post more pics of the exterior of the big tire car :trippen:
