What RPM's were you leaving the line at? I'm not a fan of the stock ECU and am planning to go MSII or UMS in the future with biggeer injectors in order ot hit 6K rpm reliably.

I heard that someone used a B&M Megashifter designed to fit in the Camaro/Firebird console and it was practically drop-in... That is what I'll use.

The speedo cable is a 2 piece - from tranny to inside firewall, from there to speedo. Ypu probably have a bad connection. The only help for reading over 85 would be the right angle adapter JTR sells for the T5 that has a .66:1 reduction ratio. Set the dash to read kph and you'll be close - you could tweak tire diameters a little.... I just put in analog guages (speedo went balls up- odo kept working) set in mine and got rid of the auto climate stuff too (while the dash was out...)

Slightly wider front to rear (in car), you would have to cut out the spare tire well and weld in a replacement panel. It fits all the way over in the ZXT and there is only JUST enough room for a full size oval muffler- why do you think it would be centered?

Unless you are going for high HP at high rpm, the stock exhaust A/R is what you want. The compessor side and the trim of the exhaust turbine are variables that you need to study - the link above has LOTS of info - read it!

.63 is the stock A/R for the turbine section. You might look at http://www.cheapturbos.com and http://www.atlanticz.ca/zclub/techtips/ for info.

If you look carefully, there are 4 columns og ratios for 4 different transmissions in my previous post - the T5 ratios are the last column. When I pasted the info, everything was spaced out nicely, and when I edit it it still is.... The 1st column of ratios is for the 77-79 5 speed tranny which is what you appear to have... I have reformatted the post to include commas, since spacing didn't work. Please note that the T5 is the only non-Nissan tranny...

After - you have already metered the air...

I have arc welded and MIG welded, and have a Miller 175. If I were looking for a MIG today I wouldl probably get a Hobart Handler 140/180 because they have a better lower end for sheet. BUT I LOVE MY 175! Don't go cheap on welder - harder to use the cheap stuff, and resale is nil. Get a good one and you're able to w4eld better, easier, and can sell for a much higher percentage of what you paid for it.

Why do you think you need to weld on the coled side, and make the turbo more unwieldy to handle? If it is a matter of adapting from the outlet of the turbo to the 90 degree bend use an appropriate coupler.

Tube and fin highly efficient? Last I heard that is the oldest of intercooler technology and that Bar and Plate is more efficient - or else Corky wouldn't be using/selling them.
