    Ed is right, but I will have to say Ed, I have rode in probably 20 s30s, and yes some of them are that bad. some so bad your eyes water, you cough, headache, but granted these cars were no show stoppers. And I am thinking the same way Josh is, having $8k in a car I cant enjoy is gonna suck, its gonna be on the road in about 1 to 2 weeks so I will give everyone the verdict then.

    the only one outta those worth buying is the real Type S. I think that was the second link, the other two are junk. If you are on a budget why not get the 1g DSM BOV? I got mine with the flange for $25

    its not in to bad of shape, I started out with somethin about that rough, if not rougher. And when you get done, or pretty close to it, you will love the car. Just remember you will probally wanna burn the whole thing atleast 12 times during the process.

    i used a blow torch, works well, just be careful. As for the 3 piece ebay has them alot and Showcars stocks them, but I dont know if you wanna buy from them. To make the showcars piece look good it has to be molded in. Atleast mine did

    Dont buy it from VB, buy it from Tabco Body Parts, they are VB and MSA's supplier. Its cheaper and is free shipping.

    Well listen to this, about 10 years ago at my high school, some seniors broke in and assembled a VW bug in a teachers room. It was just the body and wheels, nothing else, it made all the newspapers around here. Just an awesome idea for a senior prank.

    how many times does it have to be said that weatherstripping, and extending the pipe is just one of a combo of features. If you guys would take the rear of the car apart, you would see many holes and old dry rotted grommets. There is a 2 inch hole at the bottom of the rear quarter.....hmmm bet that sucks in exhaust fumes.

    you guys think fumes can enter around the mustache bar bolts in the rear hatch area? i siliconed mine up yesterday to be safe, just a thought..........
