  1. Well, I am going with 2.5 inch and my IC has inch outlets and I got all the couplers I needed for $25 shipped. i think the the seller ID was fcdtuning
  2. I have to agree with Dan and the others, being a student myself I guess your gonna have to suck it up and but something good on gas and put your Z on the back burner. I dont know why you would wanna swap anything under a 2.0 engine into a Z. Im thinkin since this is unchattered territory for the most part, its gonna be pricer then just goin out and buying a used car thats good on gas.
  3. good luck with that 30 mpg, but some v8 guys with the 6 speeds get mid to high 20s in mpg.
  4. A hybrid Delorean would be very sweet.
  5. whats the problem with flaming headers?
  6. mike are the gauges that you mount on the cowl special? or are they just normal gauges, i mean they arent some special all weather stuff are they?
  7. I dont think you can find a nice rx7 that cheap, so throw it out. I would say go with an F body.
  8. I know Tim, i was just jokin with ya
  9. I beleive JohnC knows everthing about bump steer....I heard he had some good posts on that topic
  10. Tim I hope you ask for permission to post those, dont wanna break classiczcars.com's copyright policy...............jk!
  11. The bad thing of the 944 is cost on some on the repairs, depending on what year you get, i have heard horror stories of timing belts costing $1500 to get put on. I sold my 944t because the power steering pump went out and a bolt was stripped that held the pump in, and the quote to get it fixed was $1800. So i sold it broke and lost like $400 on the car.
  12. only reason i said 4000 was to much is because im poor, if i had 5 i would buy it!
  13. Yea i have been thinking on switching it to just basic Environmental Science, I wanna own/operate a construction and debris recycling facility....but those require alot of capital but you can really make some money if you know how to run one.
  14. Ah thats cool, I am majoring in Environmental Science/Geology, what did you major in?
  15. Nooooooooooo damn those rains!!! Tim exactly what do you do for a job? I saw something abount environmental something in your profile, just curious....
  16. Heres the link guys http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6187&item=4535911669&rd=1 Anyways before you say my god that thing is rough, take a look at some of the parts on the car and the car comes with another running 280zxt and another l28et. Personally I think 1 240turbo, a 280zxt, and another l28et for 5000 is alittle stiff. But maybe someone can get it for 4,000???
  17. Now wait a sec, I wish my dad was cool enough to have a Z, much less a v8 Z like you Bill. Hmmmm I am thinking you are your son should start a project (as in you puttin an LS1 into his Z)
  18. I would buy it, i mean those subs and that wiring look professionally installed.
  19. If you wanna go for performance and in particular Nascar, then UTI is your best bet. In particular their Mooresville NC location because there you actually work with Nascar teams. I think atleast 10 Nascar teams are based outta Moorseville, its called Race City USA and UTI down there is actually called NTI by the students for "Nascar" Technical Institute. You should PM Mike (ON3GO) I think he goes to UTI in Houston or one of those schools.
  20. Not i dont think someone here owned it, he pulled that pic from the MSA web site but someone on here used it as a refrence to show what they wanted their ZX to look like, way to catch it though.
  21. tom, yea the l28et has loads of potential, go for it!
  22. 0 offset, and atleast 8.5 inches wide, would look real nice, i think you can run a 9.5 inch wide rim with ZGs?
  23. Ah yes good ole Zack, I remember when I got my first Z i printed a picture of Zack off to show my friends how cool Zs could be. Awesome ride Bill, and please stop submitting cars so the rest of us can have a chance!
  24. exactly how do you remove the trim? well lemme be specific, my quarter class, front windshild, and rear hatch trim is out. Im just curious how you remove the trim around the pass and driver doors?
  25. hi, i have owned and driven both. The 944 is highly superior to a 240 in handling if the cars are in bone stock form. But as you can see I have sold my 944 to build a Z.....hope that tells you something.
