Lol. I have a bucket for a seat right now literally lol. Its just in there so I can move the car around the yard untill I'm done with the seats. lol. I cut it in half and put 2 bolts in it to bolt it down.

Wouldn't using the radio knob be the same as a manual setup, keep in mind I going to be changing the manual control to a potenciaometer (sp) setup instead of the stock switch type, and that when I came up with the idea I was driving in my 93 jeep. I know you didn't mean anything harsh. That is why I posted the idea to see what you guys would see that I wouldn't. I usually take everything as creative critism inless blatently insulted:mrgreen:.

Not to sure but I think I've read on heres somewhere that it was 6 psi because its carbed.

That patent number that you posted is very close to what I was thinking, BUT that it uses "The PWM signal duty is changed in response to a rainfall, windshield surface state and wind pressure which cause the wiping speed fluctuation." to calculate wiper speed. It doesn't say that is gets is signal through the speedo sender:mrgreen:. I already gave my agent my rough documentation to get things rolling. She hasn't called me back about it. I'm sure the patent you posted will be flagged. I know these cars don't have speedo senders so I'll think of something, maybe modding a GM one like I've read here a while ago. This is the site that has the patent mentioned. http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Parser?Sect1=PTO1&Sect2=HITOFF&d=PALL&p=1&u=/netahtml/srchnum.htm&r=1&f=G&l=50&s1=6917173.WKU.&OS=PN/6917173&RS=PN/6917173

I know that there is already "rain sensing tech" My idea doesn't involve that. I already have 2 ideas already in the process of being patented, so I'm not to concerned about this one and I already have a patent angent looking into seeing if there are any patents similar to this one and seeing what I can get away with if something is flagged. And it is legal to produce something that is patented as long as its not used for finatial gain. ie. something that is produced by a company that doesn't have right to the patent, with not having the intent to sell, but uses them in something to further business like putting it in there transports or business equipment. that is a no no. For personal use is legal. Thats how my patent agent explained it to me.

Had a friend that got in a close call with a grizzly. Him and his buddy when fishing and they setup camp. there was this bear that just would pace back and forth near the treeline and this whent on all day. Finally the bear got enough courage to go in to there stuff (while they were out fishing) and when they got back the bear was gone. They knew that the bear was still around because bears don't really leave if there is still food around, so they took there fish near the treeline where they parked. When sure enough the bear comes back and goes to where the tent was adn then spots them. the bear was like 50 feet away and starts charging them. Now a grizzly can run 35 mph, now that with a 50ft = not alot of time. My friends brought a semiauto shotgun, a beretta, and a glock. They start unloading on the bear and run out so my friend starts shooting at it with the shotgun and manages to shatter its shoulder. It falls and he still is unloading (shotgun was loaded with alternating buck shot, and slugs). After my friend tells his buddy that a bears gulbladder can go for $10k in the asian market (My friend is korean and his buddy is white) so his buddy cuts it open and tries digging for it. When the rangers come, they find him covered in blood and they explained what happend. lol hand guns do nothing to bears, the bullets litterally bounce off if you try to shoot at the head and a bear can last 30sec-1min if shot in the heart. A lot of time for the bear to do some damage. Just a story that I've had (not directly) invovling guns.

I had a Nitro rs4, now I have a micro rs4. thing was clocked at 40 mph hehe, and its only 1:18 scale. I wish they made 240z lexan bodies for RC cars would have saved me a lot of work. I am currently trying to make 240z molds to vacuum form lexan bodies. Size that I am trying to make right now is a 1:18 scale. Anybody interested? I might be willing to try to make another in a 1:10 scale if enough people are interested.

I was driving home when it was wet outside and my wipers on (in my jeep). I would find myself constantly changing the wiper speed due to stop & go, and cruising. My idea is to have a wiper control circuit that would adjust wiper speed in accordence to travel speed. Of course it would have manual control just in case. I was think of having either a switch that would switch the wiper motor to the auto circuit from manual, or to have the setup mentioned and also have the peak speed for the auto circuit set by the manual controls. So what do you guys think?

If I had a spare engine I would build a sand rail. or a massive go cart on steriods. lol. A non modified L24 I would guess would make about a 100-110 hp with about at most 120 lbs/f of torque. Give you a idea of what you would start with.
-
I had the same problem on my rs4 nitro. the head bolts(screw?) were on too tight. I usually have the trim on the remote set to lean out on the throttle and try to start it and gradually adjust the trim until it does. Its a pain to start when the chambers flooded and messy.

I haven't done it with power seats but I don't see any reason that it wouldn't work except for the possiblility of the motors being in the way, which you can use spacers to clear the motors. You might have to drill some holes.

Your jeep has a ford engine? I thought that jeep was owned by AMC and then sold to Dodge/Chrysler. Or something weird happend and you happen to have a ford in your jeep. Gearing can only take you so far. The nissan engines, even though they are L6s, don't really produce all that much torque. With the example of stump pulling, HP doesn't really matter much its the torque that is what does most of the pulling power.
-
L24 doesn't have enough power to move a car that weighs almost twice a 240z. To get to make that much power isn't worth it if for a jeep IMO. the AMC based L6 produces alot more torque than the L24. All that custom fab work to have a jeep L6 in a z car is almost the same amount of work to put any other engine into these cars IMO. To get a L24 to work with the jeep's 4WD you would need to have the jeep tranny fit on the L24 and would most likely need a custom bell housing.

How about dry ice?

So are toners universal (tinting for clear)? Can they be used with laquers, enamels, and uerthane paints, and can they be used for something else than just clears?

I've had my jeep since 93 and hand no problems except the CAS sensor failing (that is what plague these engines, and would suggest to replace it anyways if you do attemp this endevore). Its a 145k miles and thats the only problem I incountered. All the power on these engines is pretty much below 4k rpms so I suggest in getting one from 1996+ so you can flash the ecu with new maps (OBD II).

I'm a advicate of soda blasting (course baking soda used for paint removal). It takes off paint well with out being to abrative to the metal, takes off rust but not as well as sand. It also disolves unlike sand.
-
My suggestion is dealing with what he has right now, he would have to go find and purchase a MAF sensor, and it would also need a O2 sensor, which the stock ecu wouldn't need to run in limp. In limp mode, the ecu runs the engine rich, so I wouldn't suggest using the supra injectors with the ZX ecu, depending on how much boost you are going to be running.
-
You clearly need to use , and . in your sentences. My guess is that your injectors or the fuel filter are getting clogged. I would of done a compression check rather than a tune up. I would also clean the electrical connections on the injectors with a wire brush. There could be ALOT of things wrong, and hard to pin point.
-
I agree. reproduction are crap. If you're desperate then buy reproductions to be willing to hack then as patch panels.
-
I would use the ZX ecu for starting up for know. I don't know MS has a limp mode but the stock ecu does and if any electronics fail (AFM or what ever) the ecu should go into a pre-set fuel map and shouldn't harm the motor. But if the ecu fails then you have no other choice. Use the stock injectors untill you can figure if the supra ones you have are hi-impeedence or low. You don't want to fry your injectors.

I've welded with it. Its a pretty good welder. its duty cycle could be a little bit better IMO, but you shouldn't have any problems with that. If you are gonna use an extension cord then buy a good quality one, not ones from costco or walmart, there is so much Ohz of resistence that it will welder sputter and might cause you to miss daignose the welder. Better yet you might as well make your own. Go to a industrial hareware or electronic store and buy some solid copper core extension cord wires and 2 ends. If you are going to weld alluminum I highly suggest you get another gun and cable and use gas and also use a strainless steel wire bush to clean before welding. Alluminum usually has an oxidized layer over the base metal that needs to be cleaned, because that layer melts at something like 900 degrees and the base at 500, or something like that. I know the miller sp135 plus costs like $550 so gives ya a idea of what a deal you're getting.

I'm interested to see what type of turbulence a rear window louver would make.

Question on strokers. Is it possible to a working engine if you have a stroker setup with a maxima head?

I didn't know that the " You're under arrest" anime had a s30z. I might end up watching it. I want to see if the live action version also has the car.
